The 2022 Magic Millions Yearling Sales kicked off with a bang at the Gold Coast with strong competition for the quality lots on offer.
Such was the strength in the market, which is reflected in most sectors of the Australian economy, the sale was exceptionally strong with the average rising
$21,000 (7.7%) on last year from
$251,000 up to $272,000.
The staggering figure was the median price which has jumped
$35,000 (16.3%) up from
$180,000 to $215,000.

TEAM DYNAMIC had worked hard on the catalogue to ensure we had every base covered prior to the sale starting, and as they say,
“the harder you work the luckier you get.”
Across day one
over $40 million was traded on
148 lots sold at a
record average price for a Gold Coast Yearling Sale opener of over
$272,000. The clearance rate sits at a remarkable
91 per cent.
Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. "It's an extremely solid start to the sale, if someone had offered that result at the start of the day, I'd have taken it!"
"It was a deep, strong market and there were plenty of people bidding. We were finding buyers at all levels."

Whilst his Second Dam is

When comparing notes prior to the start of the sale, our teams identified we both had this filly on our list, so agreed Dynamic would bid on the filly to a ceiling price and we were successful, so she now heads into the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stables.
