With 2020 around the corner we hardly have time to catch our breath and we’re back into Full Sales mode.
The Magic Millions Sales commence on the 8th January and we will be inspecting yearlings from 9:00am on the 2nd January. In the lead in time, we have already started our pedigree genetics research to identify those horses with the increased opportunity to be a racetrack success and those that are genetically poorly bred and have a higher chance to fail.
Already on our desks here at Dynamic we have the
Magic Millions (1,065), NZ Premier (677) and Inglis Classic (808) sales catalogues with Inglis Melbourne Premier (784) now online. That equals
3,334 lots for analysis before the New Year reaches us!
(ouch).
ON THE RACETRACK:
It’s been another successful calendar year on the racetrack.
Since the 1st January, Dynamic Syndications purchased racehorses have won
56 Races.
They have been led by outstanding racemare
TELEPLAY (Written Tycoon x Special Episode) who won two Group 3 races in a row over the Melbourne Cup Carnival. An Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Purchase, she is trained by Mick Price and Mick Kent Jnr.
She is followed closely by another terrific mare
READY TO PROPHET (Smart Missile x Ready To Live). A Magic Millions purchase trained by Gai and Adrian, she is raced by a ladies-only syndicate and
won two Stakes Races.
THEHORSEISWITHME (I Am Invincible x Moulin Rouge) was crowned Champion 3yo in Macau. This result was bittersweet. He won 5 races in a row as a 3yo to claim the title. Purchased from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale. Whilst spelling, tragically in a paddock accident he badly damaged an eye and despite best endeavours by the vet hospital, the eye couldn’t be saved. We can’t compete horses in Australia that are blind in one eye, however they allow it in Macau. We sent him up there and he became their best 3yo last racing season. We can only but wonder what he may have achieved here in Australia without the trauma.
YAO DASH (Smart Missile x Rahy Storm) finished the Spring as Australia’s Best 3YO Gelding according to Timeform. He only raced 3 times, winning on debut at Canterbury, then at Randwick defeating Gr1 Winner Funstar, before a close-up 4th place to superstar colts: BIVOUAC, YES YES YES and EXCEEDANCE in the Gr1 Golden Rose. The subsequent formlines around these horses has been sensational. We spelled our horse and he’s now back in work being aimed to resume in the Eskimo Prince Stakes in February with his goal to gain a start in the 2020 Randwick Guineas and then have a crack at the Doncaster Hcp Gr1. Later in the year we hope to obtain a start in the Golden Eagle.

94.8% Winners : Runners – a feat that no one else in the industry can get close too.

These horses have recorded
619 Race Wins and have
WIN ONLY earnings of over $16.1million.
VIP STUD TOUR – COOLMORE:
Be Dynamic - Owners Experience from Dynamic Syndications on Vimeo.
A “Fantastic Day” was the vibe surrounding our VIP Owners Open Day held on Sunday 13 October where Dynamic Syndications hosted 150 of our owners at the picturesque COOLMORE STUD at Jerry’s Plains. The day proved to be a sensation.
Two 57 seat buses left Tulloch Lodge Randwick at 7:00am with 100 Dynamic Owners aboard alongside the Dynamic Team and trainer Adrian Bott we embarked upon our 3½ hour trip. Our crew arrived at 10:20am where we met up with our 50 owners who chose to self-drive.
Morning Tea was waiting for us upon arrival and we all hopped back aboard the buses where Coolmore Staff - Rob Archibald and Emma Pugsley guided us on a 45-minute tour of the farm. Our Dynamic Owners got an insight to the incredible workings involved in such an operation. We saw the administration offices, guest houses, stallion boxes, foaling unit, veterinary hospital, staff village and importantly the fantastic paddocks with mares and their beautiful and very valuable foals.
Then our team stopped at Coolmore’s famous statue of DANEHILL where we had a group photo before loading back onto the buses which took us to our luncheon.
Our Owners then walked across to the stallion parade area where they were able to surround the parade ring to behold the exquisite roster of Coolmore Stallions paraded for us.
Headed by their duo of US Triple Crown Winners, the first to be paraded was new boy JUSTIFY - the only unbeaten US Triple Crown winner ever. He was followed by AMERICAN PHAROAH - the dual Gr1 Winning 2yo and 6-time Gr1 winning 3yo who’s oldest are current yearlings and will be offered for sale in 2020. Next on show was the European phenomenon NO NAY NEVER - an unbeaten Gr1 Winning champion 2yo whose first crop in the Northern Hemisphere are 3yo’s and he has already sired 19 Stakes Winners. His first crop in Australia have just turned 2yos.
The Aussie brigade went on parade led by SO YOU THINK - a world class racehorse and winner of 10 Gr1 Races, followed by RUBICK who let everyone know he was a lad, bouncing around the parade ring kicking out and putting on a real display – a trait he passes to many of his progeny. Rubick was the most precocious son of Coolmore’s champion sire and proven sire of sires ENCOSTA DE LAGO.
Next was MERCHANT NAVY - Unbeaten 2YO & dual Gr.1 winning 3YO sprinter by Fastnet Rock. His oldest are foals. Then Golden Slipper winner VANCOUVER who has set the industry on fire with his first two 2yo’s to race both being Gr3 placed Postcode and Ticket To Ride.
Unfortunately, we missed seeing Australia’s Best Sire FASTNET ROCK as he was getting ready for his next appointment in the breeding shed. With FASTNET ROCK being unavailable to be paraded, the show concluded with the sire of the moment PIERRO - Champion Australian First, Second and Third Crop Sire. No sire in Australia is going better than PIERRO at this stage of the season.
We look forward to our next Dynamic Open Day.

NEW WEBSITE:
We have recently launched our new website and the feedback has been fantastic.
Our owners are appreciating its easier to navigate format and increased speed of download.
It was redesigned to better accommodate mobile devises such as smartphones and tablets.
Analytics showed us that in 2019 for the first-time, mobile devices now equal desktop computers as the tool that visitors used to visit our website. So, we concentrated on making our new website deliver a smooth transition and navigation of our data and be a market leader in delivering our service in this format, so our owners could better enjoy the experience.
WELCOME TO OUR NEW OWNERS IN 2019
One major aspect we pride ourselves upon at Dynamic Syndications is to ensure we offer the best information flow to our owners. As a result, this service along with racetrack success has created a wonderfully diverse and exceptionally loyal team of Dynamic Owners that enjoy racehorse with us.
In 2019, we are particularly pleased to announce that we have
over 160 new owners join our team.
This continues an established trend of one-third new owners and two-thirds existing owners investing in Dynamic Syndications racehorses each year.

We look forward to visiting the Winner’s Circle with all our Dynamic Owners in the weeks, months and years ahead.
FREQUENT FLYER AWARD:
Here at Dynamic Syndications, that was easily won by Adam. In addition to early morning trackwork each week, racedays (and race nights), selling shares, mapping out racing programmes and jockey bookings, his year of work travel to sales included trips to the Gold Coast (2), New Zealand, Melbourne and then England. However, it’s not all pain though, as he did fly out flew out to the USA with his partner Kate, to celebrate Christmas and New Year. He also squeezed in a 7-day break in Hawaii mid-year and another 7-day break in the vineyards in France before the Tattersalls Sales. That’s some serious frequent flyer points earned.
MOST VALUABLE TEAM MEMBER:
That was a no brainer with
our CFO Fiona winning in a landslide. Whilst Adam was off selling 480 shares, spare a thought for Fiona who takes on the task of creating and collating the 72 pages of documents required under an ASIC licence to supply our owners when buying a share.
Add in the creation and maintenance of the separate trust account for each horse, collection and administration of returning share sale documents, paying all our suppliers accounts for all 70 horses on our books, payroll, BAS, GST and a host of other duties,
there wouldn’t be a harder working, more dedicated or skilled financial administrator in the thoroughbred industry than or own Dynamic Fiona. She will be looking for a few days rest over the break before it starts all over again in January.
OFFICE MANAGER ENJOYS WELL EARNED HOLIDAY
Again in 2019 Peter Wagstaff put in the hard yards behind the scenes to ensure seamless running of our Dynamic Syndications Team. Peter is a victim of his own abilities especially his understanding of the IT world and we rely heavily upon Peter’s skill set.
Fiona has been training Peter in her duties as CFO with the view of ongoing succession planning, and we are safe in the knowledge if Fiona was to have some time off, Peter would have an easy transition.
Also keeping Peter busy throughout 2019 was the creation of our new website which he worked diligently with our IT developers to deliver the platform that our owners can now enjoy. Not to forget that with 56 Winners that was 1,120 Race DVD’s he created for our owner’s enjoyment.
Peter was able to end the year with his family on a 4-week trip to the USA and Europe. In early January, Peter will be turning the lights back on here at Dynamic on the 6th January, fully refreshed and relaxed.
DYNAMIC DEAN:
A Dynamic year on and off the track. A new record of 24 horses for Public Syndication have been successfully completed. 480 Share Sales, 56 Race Wins, 4 Stakes Wins, Champion 3yo in Macau, and highest rated 3yo Gelding in Australia after the Spring has our team excited about 2020.
The compliance work and auditing structures are never ending under an Australian Financial Services Licence and with 24 promotions to be registered its paperwork warfare. However, this is a known fact of syndication business and ensuring we continue to meet ongoing compliance regulations is a vital part of the business.
As the Responsible Officer of Dynamic Syndications, this takes up significant amounts of Dean’s time throughout the year.
Also, all the stories, website pages for each promotion, and social media feeds are created by Dean. They are structured with the view of being both informative as much as entertaining for our Owners to enjoy.
SUMMARY:
The harder you work the luckier you get and there is no doubt that our owners are reaping these rewards from our family business.
A successful trip to the UK to buy 4 high quality UK Imports was certainly one of many highlights along with Teleplay’s Gr3 win at Flemington on Cup Day.
Adam continues with his succession training with the view of taking the reins here at Dynamic. He’s a great communicator and confident enough, that he tells his mates that Dean’s title has now been modified from
“Managing Director” to
"Managed Director."
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and may 2020 be full of many exciting visits to the Winner’s Circle for all our Owners and Followers.
