Dynamic Syndications broke new ground on Monday 21/2 when we purchased our first yearling from the Tasmania Magic Millions Yearling Sales.
To entice Team Dynamic to be active in Tasmania was always going to require a special horse to push our buttons.
After many years of reviewing their
Magic Millions catalogues, in the
2022 Yearling Sale there was
a FILLY catalogued as LOT 3 that excited us.
She is by highly successful sire SMART MISSILE from the excellent race filly and outstanding broodmare READY TO LIVE (USA), a daughter of Champion Broodmare Sire MORE THAN READY.

We purchased READY TO PROPHET through the 2017 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast for $40,000 + GST.
Trained by Gai & Adrian she ultimately retired from racing a winner of 3 races including 2 Stakes Wins, and she was twice Gr3 placed, also she was Listed Race placed and ran fourth in a Gr2, banking $297,820 in prizemoney.
READY TO PROPHET was airborne to win the Gai Waterhouse Classic LR
Then on behalf of the owners we offered her for sale through the
2020 Magic Millions Broodmare Sales where she was purchased by
Widden Stud for $300,000.
Immediately retired to Stud in 2020, on 19/10/2021, she produced
a first foal Filly by ZOUSTAR one of the hottest sires in Australia and was recovered and is in foal to the same sire.
So,
if LOT 3 was to pass a full veterinary inspection and confirmed to be sound of wind and limb by our veterinarians, she was always going to be a candidate to
wear the Dynamic Syndications Silks.
Most importantly, we found through our due diligence homework that
this Filly, LOT 3 was the Final Foal of READY TO LIVE (USA) who has been retired from the Stud Book.
Also, she is the only Full Relation to READY TO PROPHET
She is due to produce her second foal mid-October 2022.
We had the horse physically inspected by our agents who gave us a glowing report and supplied us with video clips and photos of the filly at the saleyards.

We then had our vet Dr Padraig Kelly inspect her and he gave us the green light to proceed based upon on her good conformation, excellent size and scope to grow.
We then arranged for our contracted vet Dr. Tim Roberts to review the yearling’s X-rays and Videoscope.

Tim advised that they were crystal clear X-rays and a Grade 1 (perfect) endoscopic evaluation.
We then knew we could bid and buy LOT 3 with confidence.
It was just a matter of price we would need to pay?
Sometimes the planets
do align, and saleyard
miracles can occur.
That is exactly what happened on Monday in Tasmania.
The sale was to commence at 11:00am and online bidding was available, as were Magic Millions staff who could take phone bids.

We didn’t muck around and went straight to the top asking
Magic Millions Managing Director ~ Barry Bowditch to represent us in the salering.
We are so glad we did as a disaster occurred for the sale, when at approximately 9:30am the internet crashed for a few hours and the early part of the sale was unable to be broadcast online and information was unable to be uploaded into the website, so off-site buyers were totally in the dark.
With
Lot 3 being so early in the sale this was a
divine intervention as
destiny was now playing its role as other potential buyers had no time to react.
The horse entered the sale ring and bidding was restricted to those in the auditorium or lucky enough to be on a phone.
The auctioneer called for $60,000 then $50,000 then $40,000 and opened to a bid of $20,000, raising in bids of $2,500 increments. Barry had our first bid at $30,000 to get us onto the market and we were on again at $35,000 and then again at $40,000. Bidding stalled and the auctioneer called the horse on the market at $40,000. Then bids went up in $2,000 increments.
We were talking to Barry as the bids came back and forth and we gave Barry clear final instructions –
"make sure you buy her for us."

After a bidding battle between ourselves and what turned out to be Ben and JD Hayes of Lindsay Park,
Lot 3 was knocked down to DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS/DEAN WATT BLOODSTOCK for $50,000 + GST.

To Team Dynamic that was our
best value buy to date in 2022, being
well under Magic Millions market appraisal, and
significantly was 60% under our market appraisal.
No doubt had the internet been active and online bidding being up and working and phone reception better at the complex there would have been significantly more competition for such a nice individual. Especially the way the Bloodstock market has increased by
25% in 2022 and it is so hard to find sound and right yearlings at an affordable level.
Our agent and our vet had both said she was in the top few types at the sale, and with clean X-rays and Grade 1 videoscope she was a salering gift.
Importantly, she is a
Magic Millions graduate, so we will be paying up for the
$12.895m Magic Millions Race Series and for BOBS and BOBS Extra series as well.
We knew
how well the full sister went and
how well the owners did out of their investment in
Ready To Prophet.
We are comfortable that lightning may strike twice here with our latest purchase.
It's a given that GAI & ADRIAN will train the FULL SISTER to READY TO PROPHET after the super job they did with "pudding."

This filly is a stronger, more athletic individual than her full sister was at the same stage of her development.
She has a great action, is conformationally well put together and moves with an easy fluid action.
Importantly, our latest addition will have
excellent residual value being a F
ull Sister to a multiple Stakes Winner (who is being mated to
Zoustar, a stallion who stood at $121,000 in 2020 and he stood for $154,000 in 2021).
Imagine what our latest purchase could be worth if
READY TO PROPHET can produce a quality racehorse with her first or second foals?
Whatever happens,
LOT 3 will always be the full sister to READY TO PROPHET and a better type of individual.
Even if she was unraced her residual value will be high, however if she could record black-type results herself, then the sky is the limit on her post race career value.
