Dynamic Deamer is RAPT to Grab Golden Ticket into Provincial-Midway Championships Final
Dynamic Deamer is RAPT to Grab Golden Ticket into Provincial-Midway Championships Final

Dynamic Syndication’s underrated mare
RAPT
became the
first horse to secure a Golden Ticket
into the
$1m
Provincial-Midway Championships Final
on
April 12
which is
Day 2
of the
Championships
with a slashing effort to
win
the opening heat at Hawkesbury on Thursday.
Our
Jason Deamer
trained classy daughter of
More Than Ready
from
Ghenwaa,
unleashed a
powerful turn of exhilarating speed
to run away and win eased down in the
$150,000
Provincial-Midway Championships Qualifier (1400m).
Coming into the race, there was
plenty of confidence around
RAPT'S
ability,
with her recent form suggesting she was primed for a big run. The five-year-old mare had shown glimpses of brilliance in her previous outings, including a
Listed fourth-place finish at Eagle Farm
and a
dominant victory in a Randwick Midway over 1600m
on December 21.
However, the
Hawkesbury qualifier
was far from an easy task. Add in the fact that she drew a wide barrier,
RAPT
needed a perfect ride to navigate the field and put herself in a winning position. Fortunately, she delivered just that, with a
superbly timed performance
that saw her
storm home late to secure the win.
It had been previously identified that the best way to see
RAPT
perform is to ride her
stone cold
at the tail of the field and start to work into races from the 650m. With that game plan established she was ridden a treat by
Tim Clark,
who offset the poor barrier 14, by allowing our mare to immediately drop out after the gates clanged back.
RAPT
was able to amble across from out wide without spending any energy and tacked onto the back of the field spotting the leaders 12 lengths after the first furlong.
As the field thundered to the home turn, Tim started to improve 3-deep then 4-deep and then as the field swung into the straight, he allowed
RAPT
to work to the outside of the field and balance-up before asking the mare to improve.
By this time, the leader had kicked 3-lengths on the rest of the pack and with the quality of this opposition our mare to most punters, would have appeared to have no chance, still some
8 lengths off
the leader with 400m to run.
Tim pushed the
go button,
and the afterburners went into overdrive.
RAPT
set sail down the outside. Watching her from the 400m, connections who knew her ability to unwind, were already shouting and cheering as
RAPT
was sizzling home.
Such was her
dominance
in her closing sectionals,
RAPT
hit the front with 100m to run and allowed Tim the
luxury
of being able to have an armchair ride to the winning post, proving that
RAPT
still had unspent fuel in the tank.
When the camera flashed,
RAPT (55.5kgs)
had posted an eased down but widening
0.89 length
margin over
Bojangles
($12) (56.0kgs) (Kim Waugh) with
Art Volant
(54.0kgs) (Richard & Will Freedman) 1.61 lengths third.
On the Good 4 surface
RAPT ran a sizzling 1400m Time of 1:21.55
with her own last 600m in an
unbelievable 33.25
and that was
without being extended
the final
100m!
The Winner and Runner-up in the qualifying races gain tickets into the $1m final at Randwick on April 12.
RAPT
started at a luxurious
$23.00
which was
money for jam
. She showed
her class
to race away for a comfortable win from Bojangles ($12).
It was a mighty training effort from Dynamic Deamer, who had freshened RAPT after the mare ran over 1800m when finishing a close-up seventh last start in The Wave at the Gold Coast.
“After the Gold Coast, Adam Watt picked this race out so we decided to give her a week in the paddock and just went from there,” Jason Deamer said.
“We just had to keep her on the fresh side with the 1400m and while it’s only 200m, a mile is her pet distance.
“So we kept her very fresh and she’s worked a treat.
“I couldn’t believe the price today.”
Whilst
RAPT’S
pet distance is over the
mile,
Team Dynamic and their Newcastle based
horse whisperer
will decide in the coming weeks if she will run again before the final which is 7 weeks away.
“We’ll have a look into it and work out a plan whether we have another run in three weeks or keep her fresh for it,” Deamer said.
“We could just wait and aim up for the Final as her next start but we’ll wait and see.”
Rapt was $26 into $15 to win the Provincial-Midway Final.
JOB DONE!
A big shout out to
JASON DEAMER
for the wonderful job he does with Dynamic Syndications horses.
Also well done to
TIM CLARK
on his professional ride that ensured victory.
Tim reported to the Ladies:
“Hey, just a post-race on RAPT. She was fantastic. She enjoyed that that strong tempo that she got today, and I was able to get a nice cart into the race behind Bojangles. He took me everywhere I needed to go, but she was very strong late, and won with a bit of authority. So, she’s in great shape, she's only going to be better at Randwick on the bigger track. And if it happens to get wet, she loves the ground. She's in fantastic order and I was very pleased to be able to win on for you today. Thank you.”
Congratulations to our ALL LADIES Ownership Team that own and race RAPT:

GHENWAA (Street Cry)

TARAAYEF
(Lonhro) and
HAYBAH
(

) and

Eagled-eyed
Dynamic Syndications followers
will have noted that at this year’s
Magic Millions sales Team Dynamic purchased a colt by SO YOU THINK out of SULTAH
which makes
our colt the half-brother to GHENWAA – the Dam of RAPT.
LOT 1004 - Our SO YOU THINK x SULTAH Yearling Colt purchased at the Magic Millions
In addition to the excellent conformation of the colt we purchased from
Coolmore Stud
, and the excellent genetic rating score, to be fair
we knew how well RAPT was going
and expect that there are a
few big races wins
to add to her resume this preparation which will also
add to our colt’s page.
For her
Lady Owners
through
Dynamic Syndications,
this is a
moment to savour,
and with the final just around the corner, the excitement is only just beginning.
The countdown to April 12 at Royal Randwick is on.
Can
RAPT
go all the way and claim the
$1 million
prize?
If Thursday’s performance is anything to go by, she will be a force to be reckoned with.
RAPT’S
success
is a testament to the
power of participation in racehorse syndication
in Australian racing.
Through Dynamic Syndications, RAPT allows her All Ladies ownership team
the opportunity to be part of yet
another high-class mare
competing in one of the country’s richest and most exciting races and allows everyday
racing enthusiasts
to experience the
thrill of ownership
without the
massive financial burden of sole ownership.
RAPT’S journey -
from her early career to qualifying for a $1 million final - is a
prime example of the excitement and rewards that come with being part of a racing syndicate.
This win by
RAPT
takes Dynamic Syndications overall Race Win Tally to
920 Race Wins
and was Team Dynamic’s
30th Race Win
for the current racing season.
