Dynamic Debutant READY TO ROCKET Blasts her way to Easy Win
Dynamic Debutant READY TO ROCKET Blasts her way to Easy Win

We witnessed an awesome debut
for
highly promising
4yo mare
READY TO ROCKET
who stole the show in very slick time at Hawkesbury on Thursday afternoon, becoming
Dynamic Syndications
315th
Individual Winner from
353
Individual Runners (
89.2%
).
READY TO ROCKET
was at the sport facing the starter for the first time.
Trained by
Australia’s Number 1 Stable
CIARON MAHER Racing
, and ridden by
TIM CLARK,
READY TO ROCKET
was sent out favourite and
proved an easy watch
, as she lived up to the trackwork and expectation to launch her career off with a flying start.
Pre-race, Sky commentator Mick Wallace said:
“Capable of running a big race is horse number 2, READY TO ROCKET. Ciaron Maher / Tim Clark. Four-year-old mare by Smart Missile, who has had a number of trials, so a nice education. Placed at Warwick Farm in a trial on the 30th of September on a heavy track behind Gunroom. I thought it was a pretty good job there and then, just got strung up between horses, had a bit of trouble getting into clear air, in the latest trial Rosehill when finishing sixth behind Monte Missile. She looks a likely type. I'm not surprised she's come up tight in the betting.”
READY TO ROCKET
was our first and only purchase to date from the
Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale
, where
READY TO ROCKET
was a bargain buy at
$50,000 + GST
. By
Smart Missile / Ready to Live,
she was spied in the catalogue by
Team Dynamic
, as her
instantly recognisable pedigree
was of
special interest
to us.
READY TO ROCKET is the Full-Sister to our previous
“Ladies Only”
raced mare
READY TO PROPHET
= 18 starts: 3:1:3 & Prizemoney: $297,820.
She was a
dual Stakes Winner
of both the Denise’s Joy LR 1100m and Gai Waterhouse Classic LR 1350m. She was also 3rd Dark Jewel Gr3 1400m, Nivison Gr3 1200m, Daybreak Lover LR 1200m, 4th Silver Shadow Gr2 1200m.
READY TO ROCKET
was entered and accepted in two races at Hawkesbury, races 2 1100m and 3 1000m, but we elected to scratch from race 3 to concentrate on race 2 over 1100m.
Race 2
was the HRC MOTEL 4YO & UP Maiden Hcp over 1100m where she has won in a slick time of 1:03.00 with a Last 600m: 0:33.37 which was just 0.52 outside the class record.
This was very impressive as our mare got well back in the field, and only had one behind her turning for home.
Spotting the leaders a long margin as they balanced up in the straight, from near last, 8 lengths away,
READY TO ROCKET
took off
and reeled the field in with such ease that Tim Clark was able to
idle down
over the final 50m for a
soft and widening win.
READY TO ROCKET (4yo m. by Smart Missile / Ready to Live)
(58.0kgs) ($3.80 Fav) recorded a 0.61 length win over Veravino (5yo m.) (57.5kgs) ($9.0) with the heavily backed Indiamo (4yo g.) (57.0kgs) ($4.0) some 3.07 lengths away in third place. READY TO ROCKET banked $20,550 for her exhibition gallop.
CIARON MAHER Racing
have done a marvellous job nursing our mare to the races. Their Team led by
Johann Gerard-Dubord
at Bong Bong, got our mare to the track which was a sensational effort.
READY TO ROCKET
as an early horse went shinsore as so many do, then came back into work and developed a stress fracture in her pelvis. She had an extended break away to allow that to heal, then came back into work and developed shinsoreness and her owners never lost hope, sending her back out to the paddock.
This time in she barrier trialled and frustratingly, again pulled up feeling her shins.
Instead of heading back to the paddock, she was nursed through over the
next 5 weeks
and trialled once again, softly at Rosehill on 4 November. From here, she was fit and ready, but it was still a balancing act to keep her from going over the top.
History now shows the team were able to
achieve the goal,
and she went to the sport and
delivered on her pedigree and her displayed ability.
Sky Racecaller described the race from the 550m:
“Approaching the home turn 550m out. Bethsheba keen in the lead, a head in front of on the outside Excellent Choice, Veravino third, then Indiamo followed by Defying, READY TO ROCKET on the back of those horses. Just between runners there Clark trying to take this mare through its gears, then Jed.
“They come around the turn Bethsheba with a handy lead from Excellent Choice the outside, Veravino, Indiamo, READY TO ROCKET switching to the outside. It's still Bethsheba, Excellent Choice, Veravino, READY TO ROCKET is starting to rocket!
“They've got 150m to go, it's sprinting down the outside after Veravino.
It is Veravino; READY TO ROCKET but READY TO ROCKET blasts off!
And that's a nice Win. READY TO ROCKET too good.
Runs down Veravino. As for 3rd Indiamo I think has got up there ahead of a photo for furth, Roman Song, Bethsheba, Jed. Back behind those runners was Defying, Decaulette, and last in Excellent Choice.
“READY TO ROCKET - Tim Clark; Ciaron Maher; 4-year-old mare. They have been patient. Wins on debut; Smart Missile/ Ready To Live. And well, as I said in the call, she did “blast off” there READY TO ROCKET after getting back midfield, she's come with a powerful run down the middle of the track and has been too classy for that lot.
“READY TO ROCKET impressive here. Interim numbers 2-3-4-5 are the placings. 1:03.00 is the time. Margin half-length by 2 1/2.
“It was cheeky. He sat up late too there. He sat up late there Clarky. He knew he had them covered.
“He just let this big mare coast down to the line, prick its ears up through the post and just caressed through the line nicely.”
Mick Wallace then went through the summation of the race:
“READY TO ROCKET has finished all over the top of them in what was an impressive performance at start number one. Has unleashed a powerful burst down the centre of the track and they're clearly taking their time with this at this 4-year-old mare by Smart Missile who has looked pretty good and happy at the trials and she put it all together raceday. At one stage it looked like maybe she was going to be a too far back turning for home, but she gathered-in her rivals quite quickly and she showed a really nice at turn of foot.”
“She's got a bright future. Lovely ride there by Tim Clark getting out to within striking distance halfway up the home running and the mare did the rest.”
“Veravino the horse who you thought might run at cheeky race today did first up off a spell. Had that nice run in behind the leaders, dashed to the front at the top of the straight and fleetingly looked at a winning chance before READY TO ROCKET arrived on the scene. The horse they put the money on which was Indiamo had to settle for third.
“READY TO ROCKET she looks at a nice style of a horse and will catch up with the Tim Clark in a moment and see what he made over the performance of this Ciaron Maher trained galloper. 1:03.00 and zipped home in 33.37 so a nice performance and she looks a nice style of a horse.
Mick Wallace next interviews Tim Clark
starting by saying: “
First start today, has had a number of trials and showed a really good turn of foot.”
Tim answered:
“Yeah, she did. It was just a matter of; just had to get the first half the race right. She’s a mare that it's been a bit keen in in some of her trials. So it's just important to get the first half right. Ciaron and Joh and the team were really happy with how she was going to present here today.
“And so, if we the first part of the race right, she was she was going to be able to take care of the rest.”
Mick Wallace added:
“Obviously a four-year-olds having a first start. She's obviously taken a little time to mature, and the patience looks like it might pay off.”
Tim responded:
“Yeah, exactly. And you know, she's had a great day out. She executed really well and showed a really good turn of foot. So hopefully now that she's off and racing, she can go on with it. Thank you.”
Mick Wallace concluded:
“There he is Tim Clark; strikes here in race 2 on board READY TO ROCKET who certainly did that, “rocket” that last 100m or so. And as Tim Clark said, she's had a really nice experience today. Confidence would be through the roof, and she might be able to go on and win a couple more this preparation.”
Next Tim Clark recorded a post-race report for our owners:
Tim Clark reported to the owners when asked by the stable rep:
“Tim, Ready To Rocket?”
“Yeah, really good debut, guys - well done. She executed really well. Relaxed beautifully early, got into a lovely rhythm and then from that point on, she was going to be able to take care of the rest of it. So, she's had a fantastic day out. She showed a great turn of foot when I need her, and was very soft on the line. So onwards and upwards and hopefully more wins in store for her. Thanks.”

Especially pleasing to us here at Dynamic Syndications
i
s the fact that many of the ladies who raced the Full Sister READY TO PROPHET came into the ownership of READY TO ROCKET.
On what our mare has displayed and overcome on her journey to date, it appears that
lightning has the potential to strike twice.
