Dynamic Excels in Buying Super Colt by Champion Sire from Gr2 Winning Mare

Lot 230 a son of Champion Australian Sire EXCEED AND EXCEL from Gr2 Winning, Gr1 Placed mare TIMBOURINA became the second Dynamic purchase on Day 1 of the 2019 MAGIC MILLIONS Yearling Sale.

The colt was knocked down to Dynamic Syndications for $150,000 + GST ($165,000).

Offered by boutique thoroughbred nursery MARQUEE STUD (As Agent) was an attractive Chestnut Colt with an early 5 September foaling date, adding to a brilliant pedigree matching superb looks.

EXCEED AND EXCEL needs no introduction to racing fans.

He’s an elite Australian sire with 1,322 Individual Winners, 152 Stakes Winners including 11 Gr1 Winners, 107 Stakes Placegetters with more than $164 million in Earnings.

He stood in 2018 at Darley Stud for an $82,500 Service Fee.

The Colt we have purchased is from the mare TIMBOURINA (by Timber Country).

TIMBOURINA is a Full Sister to SP Gallantree.

A three-quarter sister to the dam of SW ARMED FOR ACTION and the dam of SW NOIRE.

A half-sister to SW MEDIA, CARDINAL VIRTUE, SP Rubic and to the dam of SW TASHBEEH.

TIMBOURINA is a daughter of dual SW VALOURINA, herself a full-sister to the dam of SW SPRING WARRIOR.

Also a half-sister to SW BRAVE PRINCE and to the dam of SW ARMED FOR ACTION.

TIMBOURINA as a broodmare has produced 6 foals to race – 3 Winners and 2 Placegetters:

Bred to a Genetic Rating Score of A+ 2740% and an Australian Pedigree Score of A 458% with a family quality rating score of Q6, this colt represented an outstanding opportunity of racetrack success through genetics.

Also our veterinarian Dr Tim Roberts rated the colt highly as a potential Classic miler as a 3yo but a colt that should be precocious and competitive as an Autumn 2yo.

A review of the X-Rays resulted in them being passed as low risk.

Having purchased yearlings with success previously from Marquee Stud, we have great confidence in their product.

This is reciprocated by Marquee Stud Owner Mark Alati (who also owns and raced Timbourina) and when he heard the colt being knocked down to Dynamic Syndications, Mark came over and asked to buy back in for 20% such was their belief in how the colt has progressed from foaling to yearling and the quality of the pedigree and bloodlines pulsing through his body.

In the last seven days Ciaron has announced he is relocating to Warwick Farm.

This colt is the first "yearling" Dynamic Syndications have placed with the master horseman now he is based in Sydney and together we look forward to a bright and successful future for our owners.
