Love Tap winning the Gloaming
He is a
Gr3 Winner of the Gloaming at 1800m and has run
4th in the Gr1 Spring Champion 2000m and 4th in the Gr2 Shannon over 1500m.
Dynamic Syndications own ADAM WATT has meticulously mapped out a
12 month programme for connections to have our runner arriving at the peak of his powers for the 30th October’s race, and
Adam then followed that administrative effort by
conquering one of the hardest jobs of all, when selecting the right marble, drawing perfectly in Barrier 3.
ADAM WATT - Dynamic Syndications
With an emergency runner drawn directly inside us, there is every likelihood at race time,
LOVE TAP will jump from
Barrier 2 as the gates crash back.
The field was declared, and barriers allocated on Tuesday with European raider Maximal drawing widest in barrier 22 while the pre-draw favourite I’m Thunderstruck drew barrier 10.
Another of the internationals, Laws Of Indices drew barrier 19 while the third member of the Northern Hemisphere-bred raiders – Reve De Vol drew barrier 7.
Leading contenders - Private Eye drew barrier 17 while Queenslander Apache Chase drew barrier 6 whilst Count De Rupee drew barrier 4.
The field consists of exceptional quality as Australia’s third highest prizemoney race deserves.
These are the elite thoroughbred, the "best of the best" from their foal crop of 2017.
The 2021 edition consists of 6 Group 1 Winners and 12 Group or Listed Winners.
This is an event that is wide open and formlines are exceptionally difficult to weigh up, especially the international and interstate runners whilst every horse in the field of 18 starters will be tuned up to the minute, to be peaking at 4:50pm on Saturday.
With LOVE TAP we could not get a better set up to give him every opportunity to run up to his best.
LOVE TAP prior to winning his most recent race
Our gallant grey raced his way through the country grades to then come to town and start the
$1.70 favourite when winning the Gr3 Gloaming Stakes (1800m) before finding the 2000m of the
Gr1 Spring Champion a little too far when finishing
4th behind Montefilia and Lion's Roar.
LOVE TAP suffered a paddock incident when spelling so we had to abort the Autumn as we ran out of time. We chose to have a genuine throw at the stumps for the
Golden Eagle.
We took him up to Brisbane for just 1 race start in the Winter and then let him have a few weeks of sun on his back in Queensland before returning for this preparation.
Resuming from a spell, he was underdone when kicking off over 1400m first up at Randwick and then he went to the Metropolitan Randwick meeting that was transferred to Kembla Grange.
He jumped up to 59.0kgs and recorded a
"sizzling win" second up at 1500m.
We were
walking a tight rope of having achieve a high enough Benchmark rating to force our way into the race. We believed we would need to be a
92 rating to force our way in.
The win at Kembla made us a
Benchmark 81 rating,
10 points (5.0kgs) short of expectations.
The only way we could up the rating high enough was to run in the first three across the line in the
Gr2 Shannon Quality over 1500m. We would be taking on proven, tough, high quality older horses and we were still not wound right up, being still 6 weeks away from target date.
He ran superbly before
just peaking on his run with 50m to run. He finished fourth, just 1 length from the winner, in a race where they ran a sizzling 1:28.21 with a last 600m of 34.40 secs.
By running fourth, that rose his Benchmark rating by 10 points to sit at a rating of 91.
Had we ran third we would have been relaxed but fourth place had put us on the borderline.
We wanted to go into the Golden Eagle fresh, so we chose not to race again.
Trainer RICHARD FREEDMAN with the Gloaming Stakes trophy
Richard Freedman has meticulously planned every day and gave him a soft barrier trial 11 days away from our target. We only wanted to tick over his engine without extending him, so elected to trial over a short trip of 1045m. He was restrained back and sat 4 deep throughout.
Now he has drawn perfectly, he will be
on speed, either
leading or one pair back and he gets a
good track surface. He is
fourth-up for the preparation, having raced over 1400m, 1500m and 1500m plus the soft 1045m trial.
We have ticked all the boxes. We simply can’t do anymore.
We are arriving fit, well and ready on a perfect surface from a gun barrier.
We have given LOVE TAP and ROBBIE DOLAN every opportunity to excel.

What is The National Jockeys Trust?
The Thoroughbred Industry acknowledges dedication and bravery are prerequisites of almost every sport, and these qualities are found in abundance in racing.
Australian jockeys are elite athletes who, quite literally, place their lives on the line every time they compete in a race.
Sadly, serious injuries are a frequent occurrence, and more than 880 riders have lost their lives since Australian racing first began.
While accident insurance has become an essential feature of racing, all too often there are cases where jockeys and/or their families still experience significant financial hardship.
Since 2004, the National Jockeys Trust has provided more than $4 million in assistance to more than 290 jockeys and to the families of jockeys who have been lost.
FACTS AT A GLANCE:
• 890 Australian jockeys have been killed in race falls since 1847
• More than 200 riders are injured each year on Australian racetracks
• 500 race falls annually
• 89% of jockeys will have a fall that requires medical assistance during their career
• 9% of jockeys have fallen more than 20 times during their careers
• Each year, 40% of jockeys will have a fall that will prevent them from riding for 5 weeks or more
At the National Jockeys Trust their goal is to relieve financial hardship and provide jockeys and their families with support.
The Team at Dynamic Syndications acknowledge the difficulties jockeys and track riders face everytime they sit in a saddle.
Dynamic Syndications under our corporate banner annually support five (5) charities. They are:
NATIONAL JOCKEY’S TRUST
AUSTRALIAN RACING CHRISTIAN CHAPLAINCY
PRINCE OF WALES HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
CANCER COUNCIL AUSTRALIA
BLACK DOG INSTITUTE
For the 2021 GOLDEN EAGLE, Racing NSW approved eligible Charities will receive support from Owners and Connections of each runner.
Those Charities were declared to connections with a runner in the race.
Dynamic Syndications are delighted that one of the charities we support was on the Racing NSW list therefore we didn’t hesitate to select the NATIONAL JOCKEY’S TRUST to be the recipient of 10% of the prizemoney our horse LOVE TAP will earn.
ROBBIE DOLAN
LOVE TAP will be ridden by ROBBIE DOLAN.
Dynamic ROBBIE DOLAN
So not only will Robbie be steering for the
"lifetime dreams" of our Owners and Connections of LOVE TAP but he will also be riding for
10% of the massive prizemoney earned to be gifted as a donation for the benefits for all jockeys and their families through the wonderful endeavours of the
NATIONAL JOCKEY’S TRUST.
