Dynamic Syndications much loved mare I AM ME went under the hammer at the Star Studded INGLIS Chairman’s Sale of Elite Breeding Prospects on Thursday evening and when the gavel fell, Australia’s Number 1 Thoroughbred Nursery ARROWFIELD STUD held the bid at $2 million to cap off an amazing ride for Team Dynamic and the team of co-owners of I AM ME.

I AM ME walked into the ring to the Auctioneers description: “Here she is Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the type of mare the Chairman’s is all about. She epitomizes the Chairman’s doesn’t she I AM ME. Elegance, Excellence, She’s Exceptional, she is a Priceless Jewel is this mare I AM ME; she is here for your unreserved competition. You’ve done the work, she’s a gorgeous type, who want’s to start me away? I have got $1 million straight out.

Then with the hammer ready to fall ….. I sell I AM ME for $2 million. Arrowfield buys, thank you team, thank you Mr John Messara and co.”

Whilst this draws a line under our ownership chapter of our absolute Queen of the track, it’s far from the end of our association with our much loved 11-time winner of over $4.7 million in prizemoney.

We are sure to be inspecting each of her yearlings in the year’s ahead, and with the right opportunities, it is hoped her progeny may wear the Dynamic Silks in the future.

Added into to this fairytale conclusion to the ride of a lifetime for the co-owners, was the fact ARROWFIELD STUD and our relationship with the wonderful nursery, they knew our mare well, having secured her to represent their slot in last year’s Everest.

I AM ME heading to Arrowfield in another way is a bonus, because the mare was not lost to international interests and sent overseas, but rather she will have a wonderful life at the famous Hunter Valley nursery and in the years ahead will be mated with the best sires in Australia.

Dynamic Syndications have a tremendous affiliation with Arrowfield Stud having dealt with and purchased quality yearlings from the leading nursery over four decades.

We are incredibly thankful that John and Paul Messara, Jon Freyer and all their Team at Arrowfield Stud, for sharing our belief in the future of I AM ME.

Adam Watt said: “It’s been a dream result, she’s been the dream horse, it’s just so amazing, to see a room with so much love here tonight for their horse. To realise $2 million here at Chairman’s, it’s the dream result. A $210,000 yearling filly at Premier, she took us on a ride of a lifetime, she won our owners $4.7 million; 11 races; and to come here tonight and sell for $2 million, its honestly pinch me stuff.

“I just know she’s going to the best home, in the Southern Hemisphere, and for me, that is the greatest result. I know she will get a beautiful life, and she will be mated to the best stallions, they are the Number 1 Stud Farm in Australia for a reason. I am just so happy for this group of people who are here in this box tonight to get this result, it’s a dream.”


Jon Freyer representing Arrowfield Stud said: “She’s a filly we have admired for a long time, really fast, really quick, she’s by a great stallion, and she’s got a really deep family, we think she will be a great addition to the broodmare band, hopefully an The Autumn Sun out of I AM ME will be one to top the yearling sale in the future.”

During these next few years with this new filly, we will be watching closely what decisions ARROWFIELD make in their stallion selections for I AM ME as we continue living the dream.

It was just 4 weeks earlier at the INGLIS Easter Yearling Sale, that Team Dynamic joined forces with the famed US based industry powerhouse RESOLUTE RACING - the entity owned by leading Kentucky based horseman John Stewart, to purchase the half-sister to I AM ME by the industry’s new leading sire sensation TOO DARN HOT. We went to $675,000 to secure the daughter of MEFNOODA.

Our 50% ownership has been consumed by I AM ME co-owners: Anthony Cranes, Anthony Mitchell, Scott Finnegan, Ross Gall, George Rassos, Alex Vella, Michael Milner, Daniel P Morton-Donnelly, Allan Robertson and our fellow Dynamic client, Susanne Smith.

To own the filly, holding the opinion that the genetic mating is excellent, and her conformation is superb, so her opportunity to become another racetrack star from the mare has increased exponentially, plus the commercial value of the pedigree has enhanced courtesy of the $2 million sale of I AM ME.
