The team at Dynamic Syndications take pride in delivering stories about our horses on the racetrack and the yearlings we purchase at the sales.
Our Owners and followers know the in-depth diligence work we undertake prior to every sale, where we are looking for the obvious advantages and reducing the risks associated in buying high quality racing stock.
Earlier this week our Team was in Melbourne for the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale. This is a sale that has been exceptionally good to us over the years with a couple of graduates to wear our colours being Blue Diamond Winner REWARD FOR EFFORT
REWARD FOR EFFORT
and current racetrack darling -
I AM ME
We find the best way to reward our stable is to look for elite breeding crosses that have an extremely high propensity for success at stakes level and then match the horse with the pedigree.
Those that match physical attributes to high class genetics are the yearlings we target. Some are obvious and some are more obscure. However its this attention to detail that has us batting at over 89% Winners to Runners.
From our work on the 2024 Inglis Premier Catalogue we identified only 24 Yearlings that met our strict selection criteria on pedigree ratings.
After physical inspections we were left with a short list 5 yearlings.
Whilst 4 of these went through the ring and sold for well beyond our market appraisal of their commercial value, there was one that we were able to secure well below what we anticipated to be his commercial value.
That was a colossal CHESTNUT COLT catalogued as Lot 464 by a WORLD LEADING SIRE in LOPE DE VEGA (IRE) from PRINCESS LAYAN (IRE) who was foaled in Australia on 10 August 2022.
The mare PRINCESS LAYAN was a winner in England over 1450m and then was covered by LOPE DE VEGA to Southern Hemisphere Time and then exported in foal to Australia by Yulong Stud.
LOPE DE VEGA was Champion Sire in EUROPE in 2023 by Winners and is a Leading Sire in 2024 currently in Second spot by Winners and Stakes Winners and fourth by Earnings.
LOPE DE VEGA was Champion French 3YO and has been a sensation in the breeding barn with 125 Stakes Winners including 19 at Gr1 level.
Importantly, LOPE DE VEGA shuttled to Australia for four seasons and was highly successful here. He has 19 Stakes Winners including 5 Gr1 Winners and 11 stakes placed in Australia.
Regarding our colt’s Dam PRINCESS LAYAN (IRE) - she is a daughter of Champion Australian 2YO and Champion 3YO, it’s easy to understand why Yulong Stud bred her to LOPE DE VEGA before bringing the mare to Australia.
Apart from her excellent female pedigree, the mating cross is incredibly successful.
Bred on the Shamardal x Elusive Quality cross there have been 6 Colts bred on this cross to race for 6 Winners (100%) including 3 Stakes Horses (50%) being 2 Stakes Winners and 1 stakes placed.
Aware that Yulong Stud were keen to meet the market this year and sell as many of their yearlings as possible, they were setting realistic reserves on their yearlings.
Just prior to the colt heading into the salering we were advised that their reserve was set at only $80,000. We believed he would sell at a higher value but were keen to engineer the bidding to arrive holding the $80,000 bid and the colt being on the market.
This was achieved and our bid wasn’t challenged, and the COLT joined our DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS Team at an incredible salering gift of $80,000 + GST.
It is easy to go ahead and write a story about the colt but in certain circumstances less is more, as is the case here.
So, we put forward the reasoning behind our selection of this colt in point form, so the data speaks for itself along with the striking looking colt that comes with Clean X-Rays and a perfect Grade 1 endoscope.
We have put the odds well into our favour with this COLT for our Dynamic Owners to own and race from the stables of Australia’s Number 1 stable for Winners – CIARON MAHER and to take advantage of the rich VOBIS Silver and VOBIS Gold bonus races on offer along with the rich $12.55m INGLIS Race Series.

A share price will be established over the coming days once all the documents have been compiled and submitted to Racing NSW for approval.
