It’s official, Bimbadeen Park manager and Dynamic Syndications main man in charge of breaking in and education, Shane Rose has been announced as part of the Australian equestrian eventing team to take part in the London Games next month.
This staggering achievement has been over three years in making and shows the hard work that Shane puts in when it comes to everything to do with thoroughbreds.
Shane Rose has made another Olympics
The announcement comes after Shane competed in the final qualifying event on the weekend, the Melbourne International, a three day event in which he finished second aboard APH Moritz.
Shane will partner up with his horse Taurus, whom he rode to victory in the Sydney International earlier in the year, to take on the rest of the world at the Olympics.
Rose, who has had a long association with Dean and Dynamic, is already an Olympic medallist as he finished with silver at the 2008 Beijing Games but this time he will look to go one better.
Shane has already tasted Olympic success winning Silver at the Beijing Games
Shane has the responsibility of breaking in all our yearlings and educating them before they head to pre-training and eventually on to their trainer.
He is one of the most vital members of Team Dynamic and he and his team know that education begins at an early age of a horse’s life.
Shane understands that your horse's first few rides set the path for their future so it is vital that everything is done properly.
The education process he employs starts firstly from the ground and then, in the saddle. Every horse is an individual and the experience is often confronting for a young horse, therefore, each horse is treated as an individual so the pace of progression is established by the horse not the educator.
Shane treats each horse as an individual to get the best out of them
Shane and his team do not progress until your youngster has mastered each step and simply, extra time is taken for every horse when and where it is needed.
This season, Shane and his team have been responsible for the education of all our yearlings and they have broken in superbly and are handling everything that is thrown at them.
Shane, who will join Beijing teammates Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks, newcomer Chris Burton and six time Olympian Andrew Hoy, is the ultimate professional and is regarded as one of the best horseman going around in Australia.
Shane will be looking to go one better in London
He appreciates and is willing to put in as much time as is needed for every horse to get through their initial process and will not let them leave his care until 100% satisfied.
This is reflected in his brilliant equestrian riding and this outstanding achievement gives Rose the chance to compete in his second Olympics after winning silver in Beijing.
We will be watching on very closely from our offices here in Sydney and we wish Shane all the best with his travels and competition in London.
We hope he can return home with Olympic Gold in hand and we can add a Gold Medal to the Dynamic Resume.
