Sometimes the planets do align and on Day 1 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale that’s exactly what happened when
Dynamic Syndications purchased Lot 6 a Brown Filly by DEEP FIELD x ZARINIA (IRE).
This fabulous filly is by
Australia’s leading Second Crop Sire by winners in DEEP FIELD who has cleared out from the pact having produced
52 Individual Winners already for the season including 2 Stakes Winners.
Whilst being a daughter of DEEP FIELD is impressive, it’s her sensational female family which this filly comes from that will ensure a brilliant residual value when she retires to the stud.
Wow what a family!
She is a daughter of the unraced
ZARINIA (IRE) (by Intikhab).

* Our filly is a Half-Sister to Gayika Dam of Gr2 Winner TARKA ATC Stan Fox Gr2 4th Spring Champion Gr1.
Such is the admiration of our filly’s champion half-sister in South Africa, a story was written in their Thoroughbred press by the publication
Thoroughbreds South Africa about Dynamic Syndications purchasing this filly: It reads:
DYNAMIC PURCHASE OF IGUGU’S HALF-SISTER (POSTED ON MAR 1, 2020 BY TSA NEWS)
Adam & Dean Watt inspecting yearlings at Inglis Oaklands Junction complex
The Deep Field half-sister (Lot 6) to South African Horse Of The Year IGUGU sold early in the first session of the 2020 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
Consigned by Collingrove Stud, on behalf of Kia Ora Stud, the well-bred brown filly was knocked down to one of Australia’s leading syndication organisations, Dean Watt’s Dynamic Syndications for $160 000 – outstanding value for a filly with such residual value.
The filly, who shares her G2 winning sire with Saturday’s G1 ATC Surround Stakes third placegetter Xilong, is the tenth living foal produced by the unraced Intikhab mare Zarinia.
The latter is an outstanding producer, with Zarinia’s four black type horses headed by four-time G1 winner, Champion and South African Horse of the Year IGUGU (pictured below).
Sadly, she’s now deceased, IGUGU captured South Africa’s Triple Tiara for 3yo fillies in 2011, before ending her sophomore campaign with a triumph in the country’s most famous horse-race, the G1 Vodacom Durban July.
The champion Galileo filly went on to land the J&B Met at four, while accounting for the likes of Bravura, Gimmethegreenlight, Beach Beauty, and The Apache, with the latter finishing first past the post in the 2013 G1 Arlington Million before being demoted to second.
IGUGU is the dam of the useful John Gosden-trained colt El Misk (Dansili), a winner of three of just seven starts.
Her dam Zarinia (also granddam of G2 ATC Stan Fox Stakes winner Tarka) is also responsible for G3 ATC Craven Plate winner Honorius (Holy Roman Emperor) and East Coast Cup heroine Ngaga (Fastnet Rock).
Our filly is a beautiful individual that
offers a lot of racing enjoyment and she is a gilt-edge investment by having an in-demand pedigree upon retirement. If she can add some black type to her own resume, then her residual value will skyrocket.
However,
first and foremost we purchased her to be a racehorse and win races for her ownership.
