As a retail business, it’s hard to have the SOLD OUT Sign on our window at the beginning of November, when the Yearlings Sales circuit of 2026 not commencing until 13 January.
Despite the incredible amount of administration that continues, and the vast number of individual pedigrees we must analyse ahead of the 2026 yearling sales (there are 1,221 Lots at the Magic Millions alone), it remains far too long for our team to be idle on the sales front.
Especially with Christmas fast approaching, as we always have Owners requesting Christmas Gifts.
The NZ Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale is conducted on 12 & 13 November 2025 at Karaka, NZ.
Each year we review what is available to potentially value add to our tremendous stable of equine athletes we gathered around us in 2025. We purchased 17 Yearlings and 5 raced horses to join our team and those shares sold out.
However, when we spied Lot 155 being offered by Gerry Harvey’s Westbury Stud, this 2YO gelding captured our imagination.

A lovely, big strong type, who will continue to develop into a spectacular looking, middle-distance 3YO prospect, it was the video of his breeze-up that we loved, before we even read his pedigree page.

Then when we saw he was purposely bred to a proven cross capable of producing Derby success (our followers know how much we desire to add that trophy to the showcase), the colt intrigued us further.
We questioned whether we truly wanted head back into the market and buy our 23rd horse for 2025, but the answer was clear. Yes we do!
We didn’t get excited by anything in the sale that was bred to be a speedy squib. We only wanted to entertain the thoughts of a young horse to aim at the 3yo Classics.
The type of horses you head to NZ to buy.

We always want to take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself if its: (a) true value, (b) an excellent individual and (c) has the potential to become an elite racehorse.
We believed Lot 155 has that wow factor.
So we purchased him for NZD $45,000 + GST.
In the data below the reasons become self-evident why we entered back into the market to secure this individual.
We shall fly him across to Sydney in a few weeks and send him to straight to Shane Rose to continue this gelding’s education.
Having been broken-in, educated, and breezed-up in an easy flowing form, gave us tremendous comfort, and the best part of all – the vendor (Uncle Gerry) paid for that!
Now we take control of a lovely individual that has had all the money spent on him and we are ready to polish him up to reach his potential.
A price has not yet been established and will include all holding costs and the flight to Sydney.
We are only offering up to 10 x 5% shares as Gerry wishes to stay in the ownership team for up to 50%.
If you want to know more, don’t delay contacting Adam at Dynamic as these will fly off the shelf.
