DINKY DI DORA (3yo B F REDOUTE’S CHOICE x DIANA CAZADORA (CHI)) is in excellent order leading into her debut race start at Scone on Saturday 3/10.
She is engaged in Race 6 (3:44pm), a 3YO Maiden Handicap over 1100m. She is number 5, drawn barrier 6 in a field of 11 runners and will carry 56.5kgs. Currently the track is rated a Good 4 and there have been 2 early scratchings.
The meeting at Scone is the scheduled Newcastle Saturday Provincial meeting but has been transferred to Scone racecourse since Newcastle in under renovations.
The
Gai Waterhouse Racing Stables have reported that our filly has pleased them since her most recent trial and Gai has been satisfied with the improvement that
Dinky Di Dora has shown from her easy first up trial behind Stakes Winner
HARLEM RIVER.
Gai has elected to keep the blinkers on
Dinky Di Dora to keep her focused over the shorter distance of 1100m. We all believe she is the type of filly to continue to improve over further ground.
Gai has booked Paul King to ride our filly. Paul has a great strike rate with the Gai’s team and he understands how Gai likes her horses to be ridden.
According to the speed map there looks to be very fast speed in the race with
MAGIC GRACIE, BOLD ARA, ARCHDUKE, TOMMY TWO TOES and KIWI BOSS all looking to go forward.
Paul will also look to be positive on our filly but the most important thing is that she gets into a comfortable rhythm, wherever that may be in transit.
DINKY DI DORA at Randwick with some of her owners 2/8
DINKY DI DORA has trialled very well leading into this event however as noted previously, we expect her to be much better suited once the distances head out to 1600m or further.
Nonetheless we need to kick off somewhere and with the lack of suitable race options available at this time of year for 3yo fillies, this race was the most logical option.
Gai has deliberately left our filly open to further improvement with both race experience and as the trips lengthen but we believe with average racing luck,
DINKY DI DORA has shown enough in training to be competitive and capable of finishing in the mix on debut.
We wish all
DINKY DI DORA’S team of owners the very best of luck:
Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr P J McGuire, Mr D R Macintyre, Mrs S Halliwell, Mr C M Montano, Mr D Hiskens, Mr R J Gall, Mr M R Maloney, Mrs S L Maloney, Mr R G Loveridge, Mr D M Tarjani, Mr N W Honey, Mr R L Blows, Mr B D Thompson, Mr N D Loader, G & R Thompson.
DINKY DI DORA is set to become the first of the DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS horses to head to the races with GAI WATERHOUSE as our trainer.
