Only NZB Ready to Run Sale Lot by OLE KIRK Sells for $550,000

A record breaking NZB Ready to Run Sale this week at Karaka delivered plenty of pinhook success with 18 two-year-olds selling for $300,000 or more above their yearling purchase price.

A notable mention was the only OLE KIRK in the sale. He was already gelded, and sizzled up over the 200m in a time of 10.19 secs.

Offered by Lyndhurst Farm, they hit a home run with their gelding from Press Box selling for $550,000 to Magus Equine (HK).

That was a cool $430,000 difference!

Whilst the colt has a nice pedigree being from a Full-Sister to Group I winner Press Statement and Half-Sister to Group I winner Pressday, he had been purchased as a yearling from the Vinery draft at Inglis Classic for just $120,000.

Such is the buzz in the market about the OLE KIRK progeny, Lot 122 saw an intense bidding war for him until the gavel fell at $550,000.

Dynamic Syndications had been offering a lovely 2YO filly by OLE KIRK x MISS SHAMROCK recently, and after we sold 19 of the 20 shares available, and having offered the filly to our owners for a couple of weeks, we closed off on the promotion during the week with Dynamic Syndications buying that final 5%.
