Dynamic Syndications has EMPATHY for Our Owners with DEBUT Victory

The feeling of adrenaline, excitement and success was pulsing through the Owners of Dynamic Syndications as our 3yo g EMPATHY (All Too Hard ex Galapagos Girl) faced the starter for the first time over 1000m and dashed away to record victory in a quick 57.70 coming home his last 600m in 34.85.
EMPATHY is trained by Scone based horseman Brett Cavanough and was ridden by local rider Billy Cray.
EMPATHY did a few things wrong and the experience, extra fitness and confidence he gains by the win will see our horse improve several lengths.
A Magic Millions purchase, EMPATHY is the sixth foal to race and the sixth winner for his Dam GALAPAGOS GIRL.
She was a tremendous racehorse in her own right, being a dual Gr3 winner and Gr1 placed winning between 1000m to 1400m.
EMPATHY was facing the starter after just one trial at Scone and the trainer was confident that Empathy would have enough condition to get the job done but will strip significantly fitter for his next few assignments.
A little tardy to jump, Empathy was quickly into stride there after but still had to be bustled early to regain his place near the lead to ensure he wouldn’t be chopped out by wide runners coming across.
Billy rode Empathy aggressively for the first 300m to claim the lead on the fence and basically the race was over from that point.
Empathy was still leading on the fence as the field of 11 runners swung for home however through inexperience, he became unbalanced and then got onto his wrong leg and shifted out. Then as Billy grabbed hold to straighten him, Empathy over-reacted and laid back in toward the fence, cannoning into the rail at the 200m.
Billy then slipped EMPATHY some more rein and despite having done all the hard work early and leading the field for home, he was posting a widening margin to score by 1.87 lengths x 0.58 lengths to claim the Lockyer Family / Glencoe Graziers Maiden Hcp.
No matter where the races are conducted it takes a handy horse to win on debut considering how much can and does go wrong.
