FEMTOMETRE a 4yo Mare by EXCELEBRATION x NUCLEAR FORCE recorded her 2nd Win at her 9th Career Start on Saturday when our Brett Cavanough trained mare was up 200m in distance and third up this preparation but still had to slog through a bottomless Heavy 10 surface to claim the feature event – the TBBC “TUNCURRY MILE” CLASS 2 HANDICAP over 1500m in a time of 1:36.37 scoring by ¾ length (0.71) over the Kris Lees trained Red Lily with a further 3 lengths (3.08) back to Enlightened Boy in third.

It was so heavy and raining so hard that the meeting was abandoned after this event was run.

Ridden by Jake Hull and carrying 58.0kgs the mare was placed perfectly into this race and the race panned out to script when Jake took Femtometre to the front and then, rated her perfectly before kicking off the home turn to establish a lead and maintaining that margin in the straight to never be in any danger.

Since relocating her to our country based trainer Brett Cavanough at Scone, Femtometre has raced for the stable on 7 occasions, recording 2 wins; 2 seconds and 1 third. She is now a winner at 1200m and 1500m from 3 runs this preparation.
