FIRST SEASON SIRE PREMIERSHIP Battle Becomes Clearer

With just six (6) Saturdays of the 2023-24 Racing Season remaining, the picture for who will become Champion FIRST SEASON SIRE (determined by Earnings) and who will fill the placings is becoming clearer, however there is still the final Gr1 race of the season for the 2yo’s to be conducted at Eagle Farm, where the JJ Atkins is to be run and won.

The $1million event will see $600,000 go to the winner, $180,000 for the runner-up and $90,000 for third.

A field of 14 Runners have accepted for the 1600m Set Weights event, where the progeny of 4 first season sires are engaged to compete. They are:

Dynamic Syndications purchased two yearlings by TOO DARN HOT last year, and both now 2yo’s have shown tremendous upside.

The first was OODNADATTA (ex La La Luchie) (Mick Price & Mick Kent Jnr) who has had one start for a dominant win and has been tipped out for a short break to aim at the Caulfield Guineas in the Spring.

Our second is named TAXONOMY (ex Phenetic) (Richard & Will Freedman) which has shown plenty in work to date and is being aimed at the Spring 3yo races.
