The
one and only FROSTED (USA) yearling offered at the
2021 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast, went through the salering within the first hour of the sale on
Tuesday 1st June.
She was led into the salering by
VINERY STUD (As Agent) and as the hammer fell, she walked out the property of
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS.
OUR NEW FILLY
LOT 1439 was a gorgeous grey lassie by arguably one of Australia’s leading FIRST CROP Sires - FROSTED (by TAPIT) from the 6-time winning mare MAURITIUS (by CAPE CROSS).
MAURITIUS was a Melbourne city winner of 6 races from 1619m to 2400m.
Our filly is the mare’s
3rd foal. She has had one foal to race to date,
Tamarin Falls, who has been
twice placed so far.
MAURITIUS is a
half-sister to
Stakes Winner SWEET TREAT and to
Stakes Placed Ezra (Dam of Stakes Placed
Ezdara).
She is a daughter of
FLINDERS (Royal Academy) – a winner of
2 races at 1408m to 1609m in France, who has produced
8 foals to race – all winners.
FLINDERS is a
¾ sister to Stakes Placed
Royal FJ and a
½ sister to
SW MOQUETTE, and
SP Enrich, Invincible Man, Infinite Spirit.
Whilst the
3rd DAM is
Gr3 Winning Gr1 placed ETERNAL REVE.
She was a
stakes horse in
England, Ireland, France and the
US. Our filly is closely related to
COTAI GLORY (Exceed And Excel) a leading first crop sire in Europe.

He has produced 11 starters: 5 winners 4 stakes horses being 2 Stakes Winners INGRATIATING and CLOUDY and 2 Stakes Placed FROST FLOWERS and TRANSLATION, Winner Frostin’ and a further 3 placegetters: Glacier Miss, Kooled, The Globe.
FROSTED Fillies - there have been
6 runners; 3 winners, 2 placed, 3 stakes horses.
He is the second leading first crop sire by stakes horses.
This filly we purchased was
very well-bred when her Dam was mated to
FROSTED, producing a pedigree rating score of
A 151% with a strong
Q7 quality score.
Note that
2 of the
4 Stakes Horses by
FROSTED being
CLOUDY and
FROST FLOWERS, are both out of
DANZIG line mares;
the same as our new filly. She is out of a
DANZIG line mare.
This rating is
obviously working well and has placed the filly among the
leading progeny of
FROSTED bred in Australia from this second crop.
In recognition of the
instant success the young sire
FROSTED is achieving,
Darly Stud have increased his Service Fee from
$22,000 to
$44,000 in 2021.
FROSTED is the perfect outcross: a
3 time Gr1 winner, the best ever by three-time Champion American sire

FROSTED only has limited numbers representing him on the track. His first crop consisted of
65 live foals and his second crop from which we purchased this filly has only
53 live foals. So scarcity will prevent him from dominating the list but
performance keeps him at the pinnacle.
Simply speaking FROSTED is proving a boom young sire and it is hard for the stallion to do anymore at this stage of his stallion career. As the saying goes “LIES, DAMN LIES and STATISTICS.”
Forget the marketing hype from peers, FROSTED is the sire performing way above expectation.
Our new Filly really is a bargain buy.
OUR FILLY
An outstanding type with excellent size and scope, she was inspected by our veterinarian who
passed her X-rays as being
Low Risk and she has a
Grade 1 VL (Very Large) throat which is
perfect for windflow.
Physically she is an ideal candidate. Generically the cross is already successful and rates highly.
Our filly was not bred to be an
early speedy squib.
Her Dam was a terrific
out to 2400m and this filly has the
conformational size and strength to run over a trip as well , so expect her to be more a
typical miler to 2000m horse.
She is also eligible for
Super VOBIS and VOBIS GOLD and will be entered into the series.
As such she will be placed in the care of
CIARON MAHER and DAVID EUSTACE.

She will be doing her early training at their
Warwick Farm stables before moving to their
Melbourne stables to take advantage of the
extra VOBIS prizemoney.
