It’s not rocket science in the thoroughbred industry when it comes to racing high quality racehorses – to give yourself the best opportunity of success, simply buy well conformed progeny of champion sires.
The undisputed king of sires at stud in the Australian Thoroughbred landscape is FASTNET ROCK who has 37 Gr1 Winners to his credit amongst his 149 Stakes Winners making him the Best Active Sire at stud in the Southern Hemisphere.
FASTNET ROCK - Champion Sire
Over the weekend his progeny were back in the limelight with Brimham Rocks winning his way into the Caulfield Cup whilst Dreamforce finished runner-up in the Gr1 Colgate Optic White Stakes and his daughters Notation and Connemarra finished second and third in the Tibbie Stakes.
BRIMHAM ROCKS
Brimham Rocks has earned his ticket into the Caulfield Cup with his first Australian victory in the MRC Foundation Cup. Saturday's win in the Group 3 event over 2000m erased the frustrations of last year's spring disappointments where he recorded six consecutive placings.
Ridden by Michael Walker, Brimham Rocks ($21) scored by 1-1/4 lengths from stablemate So You Win ($12) with Sikandarabad ($3.90) 1-3/4 lengths away third.
Stable representative Johanne Taylor said Brimham Rocks narrowly missed a start in last year's Melbourne Cup when second to Cup placegetter Prince Of Arran in the Hotham Handicap on Derby day.
She said the imported gelding had not come up in the autumn but had come back this preparation in better shape and was ready for a shot at the Caulfield Cup.
"He's certainly earned it but we’re really happy just to see this horse return to form," Taylor said.
"He was certainly convincing today.
"He's a horse that I think has a lot of upside to him and whether we give him another run, I don't know if it's completely necessary, but the options are there.
"I think on what we saw today, he's fit and well and we know the trip isn't an issue for him."
Taylor said she was unsure how many horses the stable intends starting in the Caulfield Cup (2400m) on October 19.
"He doesn't like having horses in it for the sake of it," Taylor said.
"We've had horses here we thought would have been suited, but for reason it hasn't gone our way."
Our FASTNET ROCK x FRECKLE FACE 2yo Colt
The most expensive horse Dynamic Syndications have ever purchased for syndication as a yearling was this year at the 2019 yearling sales when we purchased a fabulous colt by FASTNET ROCK from FRECKLE FACE. The now 2yo colt was purchased to be a Classics and Cups contender and will be trained by GAI WATERHOUSE and ADRIAN BOTT.
The way he has broken-in and what he has shown in early education, it may prove to be one of the most astute purchases we have ever entered bought.
Our FASTNET ROCK Colt is from a super pedigree of stakes horses BRING ME ROSES, FACE VALUE, DIAMOND EARTH Face of the Earth, Halle Rocks, Greytfilly, etc.
It was also no surprise to see FASTNET ROCK produce 2 Trial Winners at this morning’s Official 2YO Trials at Randwick. GODDESS won Heat 2 and WAR MEMORIAL won Heat 3.
Dynamic Syndications have limited shares remaining in our FASTNET ROCK x FRECKLE FACE 2yo Colt at $15,895.
When Quality matters this is a colt to consider.
