Global good news is the theme of the week for
first season sire SHALAA (IRE) thanks to his
first Australian trial winner, a new
stakes performer in France, a debut
winner in Japan and a
new winner plus a debut placegetter
in England.
SHALAA (IRE)
Here are Shalaa’s highlights from the last seven days:
Monday 21 September – Shalaa posts his first 2YO trial winner in Australia, the colt named
Shaquero (ex Fimatino by Not A Single Doubt), who cruised home nicely at the Gold Coast.
Shaquero was a $160,000 buy from Fernrigg Farm's draft at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale.
Saturday 19 September – at Chukyo in Japan,
Hitoyogiri (ex Federation by Motivator) opened her career with a two-length win in a Newcomers race over 1200 metres. She was bought for 120,000 guineas from the Tattersalls October consignment of Floors Stud by owner Toji Morita.
Also on Saturday, Haija (ex Rasmiya by Galileo), prepared by John Gosden for Al Shaqab Racing (the team behind Shalaa’s racing career), overcame an awkward start to run second on debut at Newmarket.
Friday 18 September – Legal Attack (ex Lauren Louise by Tagula) backed up from his winning debut at Newmarket, UK on 29 August to finish second in the Chantilly Prix Eclipse G3. He’s
Shalaa’s third stakes performer after
Saeiqa (3rd, Royal Ascot Coventry S. G2) and
No Speak Alexander (2nd, Leopardstown Ingabelle S. LR).
Wednesday 16 September – the Michael Stoute-trained colt
My Swallow (ex Green Swallow by Green Tune), a 130,000 guineas Tattersalls October buy, won a 7-furlong novice at his second start at Sandown, UK.
Shalaa now has
12 juvenile winners in five countries from his first European crop and is serving his fourth Southern Hemisphere book of mares at Arrowfield.
Dynamic Syndications have a huge opinion of the Shalaa filly we purchased at the Magic Millions.
OUR 2yo Filly
She is from the mare
TALENTED MISS (Al Maher) a winner of 2 races and full sister to sensational broodmare
ACOUPLAMAS – Dam of
2020 Gr1 ATC Derby Winner QUICK THINKER, and
Stakes Placed THE AUGUST and SEASONS.
Our filly has broken-in and been through the early training system three times and we are
very excited about what she is showing us to date and she is living up to her
huge pedigree page at this point of time.
Only 3 x 5% Shares remain on our SHALAA (IRE) x TALENTED MISS Filly.
She's a ripper and in the same mould of these early and successful 2yo’s Shalaa is producing.
