After just two months of the new racing season and with the riches of the spring racing ahead, no less than 18 stallions have cracked the $1 million earnings mark and 5 have smashed through $2 million barrier: I Am Invincible, Pierro, Not A Single Doubt, Exceed And Excel and Fastnet Rock.
The field are all chasing I Am Invincible, Yarraman Park Stud's champion son of Invincible Spirit is leading the way for the number of winners and earnings.
Pierro retains second spot on the Premiership and his total of four (4) stakes-winners is only equalled by Exceed And Excel. Shadow Hero added to Pierro’s haul with a win in the Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill last weekend and has the potential to add to that in the coming weeks.
Exceed and Excel had a red-letter day at Rosehill Gardens with Bivouac winning the Gr1 Golden Rose while his son Standout stays undefeated registering his first stakes win in the Listed Heritage Stakes.
Widden Stud's Zoustar also had another profitable week siring Gr2 Golden Pendant winner Mizzy who keeps up her winning ways.
