Arcadia Queen
Pierro has had eight (8) winners in seven days and stands this spring at Coolmore Stud at a Service Fee of $88,000.
Pierro has been churning out the winners since the start of the new season, but even by his own elite standards, four (4) metropolitan winners on Wednesday was a tremendous achievement with the standout being promising Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained 3yo The Lifeline.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stables often send promising three year-old’s to Melbourne at the start of spring to work through the grades and lightly raced gelding The Lifeline gave notice of better wins to come with a bold front running win over 1300 metres.
A winner at Cranbourne at his first run back from a spell in early August, he was then fourth in the MVRC McKenzie Stakes LR before scoring this determined win that has him on track for better races.
Retained to race by the breeder after being passed-in at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale shy of his $200,000 reserve, The Lifeline was given the best start to life being foaled and raised at Coolmore Stud.
The Lifeline is the fifth winner from five to race from stakes-placed Elusive Quality mare Princess Quality. She comes from the family of Group 1 winner and sire Holy Roman Emperor.
Also making their way into the winners circle for Pierro on Wednesday at Sandown were in form mare Pierrocity, was who made it back to back wins at the track.
In Sydney on the Kensington track, Lonhro’s champion son sired two winners won with Terwilliker and next with Rock, who started a short priced favourite and has now won three of seven starts.
Pierro’s progeny are few and far between in the syndication market. They are literally as “Rare as Hen’s Teeth” to find and buy a share in.
Dynamic Syndications purchased a super colt by super sire PIERRO at the Magic Millions in January and have deliberately retained him until now to promote into the market.
He’s not bred to be a speedy-squib but rather to be a potential classics contender and will be aimed at the time-honoured races such as the Guineas, Derbies, Cups and a Plate.
The colt we purchased is from the Group 1 Winning Danehill mare LARROCHA.
