“Buy the one you want – not the one you’re left with”
is a familiar catch-cry at the yearling sales and a well proven philosophy.
Dynamic Syndications has the motto
“Race The Best With The Best”
Pedigree Update:
Since published I AM ME was 3rd in the Gr2 Challenge Stakes
So when we spied
Lot 53
in the
2025 INGLIS Australian Easter Yearling Sale
catalogue, we were as keen as mustard to lay our eyes over the
Half-Sister to Dynamic Syndications wonderful racetrack star
I AM ME.
I AM ME
The filly exceeded our expectations on type.
She was a fantastic individual.
Lot 53 before flying to Australia to be sold
Lot 53
was offered by New Zealand’s wonderful thoroughbred nursery
Cambridge Stud.
LOT 53 Headshot
The Filly was by the sensational young sire
TOO DARN HOT (GB)
who was
Australia’s Champion First Crop Sire
in 2023-24 and is the current
Australian Leading Second Crop Sire
in 2024-25.
Cambridge Stud had purchased
MEFNOODA,
the Dam of
I AM ME
a few years ago from
Sheikh M B K Al Maktoum,
who is a co-owner of
I AM ME.
They sent the mare to Darley Stud’s super sire
TOO DARN HOT
and the resulting foal was an absolute Princess in her own right and she is also the half-sister to the racetrack queen
I AM ME.
Identifying that
Dynamic Syndications would need some serious firepower
to capture the filly in the salering,
Adam Watt
from
Dynamic Syndications
reached out to the highest profile and currently a highly successful Thoroughbred Industry participant in the USA -
Mr John Stewart
,
owner of
RESOLUTE RACING.
Adam inquired if he and his phenomenal thoroughbred brand
RESOLUTE RACING
would be interested in joining forces in a quest to secure the filly in co-ownership.
As they saying goes:
“The rest is history.”
We were thrilled when Mr Stewart agreed to join forces to purchase the filly through the ring. This gave Dynamic Syndications the opportunity to be involved in the Half-Sister and allowed the filly to enter the stables of our terrific trainer
CIARON MAHER
after the hammer fell at
$675,000 + GST.
Our Filly purchased with RESOLUTE RACING (USA)
We thank Mr Stewart
for his belief in the filly and Dynamic Syndications, as together we forge ahead with plans under Ciaron’s eye.
Strange how things can work out. Dynamic Syndications race I AM ME with Sheikh M B K Al Maktoum.
Now we have joined forces in the 1/2 sister with a behemoth of the USA thoroughbred industry, Mr John Stewart.
Dean Watt, Josh Mitchell, Louise Kennedy, Tony Cranes, Anthony Mitchell, Adam Watt with Lot 53
The filly is an absolute Princess. Her conformation is sound, and she is right of wind and limb.
Josh, Louise, Adam, Anthony Dean and Tony who own and race I AM ME with her half-sister
There is a real balance in this filly of
both I AM ME
and her sire
TOO DARN HOT
which makes the filly an exciting racetrack prospect.
Dynamic Duo ADAM WATT & DEAN WATT with the 1/2 Sister to I AM ME purchased on Day 1
In addition, there is the outstanding residual value the filly will take with her, throughout her racing days, being the half-sister to
I AM ME
who
won
11
races and over
$4.7 million.
With
I AM ME
heading into the sale ring at the
Inglis Chairman Sale
in a few weeks’ time, as her racing career concludes and she embarks on her next chapter in becoming a broodmare, buying her yearling half-sister relieves the bittersweet acceptance of needing to say goodbye to a wonderful racemare who has been our flagbearer over the past few seasons.
Interestingly, from a
genetics perspective
,
TOO DARN HOT
appears to be a far better mating to a daughter of
MEDAGLIA D’ORO
than was I Am Invincible.
TOO DARN HOT over MEFNOODA
offers an
Enick Rating of
A+ 1,311%
and a
GeoNick Rating of
A+ 793%.
This female family is one of the most prolific producers of stakes winners in the stud book.
RESOLUTE RACING
has a stated business philosophy that sees them
“Dedicated To The Best In Thoroughbred Racing & Breeding.”
According to their published charter,
Resolute Racing
is a thoroughbred breeding and racing operation in Midway, KY, dedicated to
acquiring, breeding and racing, the highest calibre of thoroughbreds.
Established in 2023, Resolute purchased the former Shadayid Stud property with over 850 acres of historically significant Kentucky bluegrass to house their operations. They have since added another 150 acres after purchasing a neighbouring farm.
The team at Resolute has also acquired an incredible group of thoroughbreds since starting, to include broodmares, yearlings, and horses of racing age that will provide opportunities to compete at the highest levels in the sport while building families based on the best historical bloodlines for producing Graded Stakes winning horses.
In an interview with
“The Thoroughbred Report”
,
owner John Stewart
stated:
“I've lived in the Lexington area for over 30 years. And so, I have always followed the sport and acquired my first horse in 2022 at the Keeneland September Sale. As I started accumulating more horses, I started looking at farms in the Kentucky area because I really wanted to do something significant for the sport in Kentucky, I wanted to do something that would have a positive impact on the sport that I loved”.
When asked about the fast-growing breeding program, John explained:
"I'm trying to breed for a different quality of horse. We're not just after winners. We're after Graded stakes winners”.
With our focus on breeding to race rather than selling, John explains:
“We've been very active buying right now, but that's because we're trying to fill in all parts of our program with yearlings and 2-year-olds. So, we have something fun to do while we're waiting for our own stock to grow out. But we're going to breed to race, especially the fillies, we'll breed them with the intention of creating good broodmares. I don't see the need to stand stallions. If I create a stallion, that's a big revenue generator for us. And then, as a part of the negotiation, you can always go back. If you’ve got quality mares, you have access to all of the quality stallions. I'm buying some stallion shares, because I'm trying to support the rest of the industry.”
Shortly after the purchasing Lot 53, Dynamic Syndications Adam Watt was interviewed by Inglis’ Gemma Cutting.
Adam stated:
“She’s a beautiful filly. Cambridge have done an outstanding job with her. I AM ME means so much to our owners and to us. I have owners inside who burst into tears being able to buy it. I just can’t thank Mr Stewart enough to allow us to come onboard the journey with him. He’s made a big splash in a short amount of time, and he deserves every bit of success he gets. And he will continue to have success buying beautiful horses like this, and we are just so excited to have her.
Gemma than said:
“And Ciaron Maher will be training. Tell us a little about how this came about? How the teaming up with John Stewart and Resolute Racing."
Adam replied:
“I emailed Mr Stewart a few days ago about the filly and how I though she was an absolute queen. Mr Stewart has always said if someone finds a beautiful horse he would like to hear about it. So I reached out to him and said that this was a dream horse. For us she is, and it might be a beautiful horse for him to be involved with in Australia as well. He subsequently reached out to Ciaron, and Ciaron was able to help us join forces to buy her. So incredibly thankful and incredibly excited and she is just a beautiful filly that will race in a hybrid set of silks representing Resolute Racing and Dynamic Syndications.
Gemma next asked:
“When you saw her on the complex, obviously you had wanted to go and see the half to I AM ME by TOO DARN HOT (GB), what did you think of her?”
Adam responded:
“Oh I have driven Cambridge mad! I feel so sorry for them. I have dragged her out at least twenty times! She’s perfect. She’s just so well put together, the cross works really well, she’s got this massive deep girth on her, she’s similar to I AM ME in many ways, but she’s got that nice piece of class that TOO DARN HOT puts into the progeny as well, so for us, she was just the perfect horse.”
Gemma than asked
:
“Tell us a bit about the emotions. Obviously, I AM ME has been such an incredible horse for you and your ownership group, but she is going through the Chairman’s Sale soon. What’s it mean to get a filly like this into the colours again?”
Adam said:
.
“It’s incredibly exciting. We paid $210,000 for I AM ME she’s won $4.7 million in prizemoney, she will be a really well sort after lot here in the Chairman’s Sale, which is incredibly exciting. She’s been a horse that owners dream about. She has taken her owners on a ride of a lifetime, so let’s hope this new filly will take Resolute Racing and ourselves on the same ride
”
Gemma said
:
“Just a final question. A bit of relief there when a late bid came in from behind you which took you a bit by surprise there, so you have to compete quite hard to get these horses in”
Adam:
“Yes you definitely do! You don’t walk away from a filly like her for the sake of a bid, and when it was Dean Hawthorne there, I had seen Dean inspecting her a few times this week and I thought – oh I don’t know if I will have the budget to out muscle him, but I was glad we were able to be strong and get her.”
Gemma concluded
:
“Congratulations Adam, I can’t wait to see her in the hybrid colours of Resolute Racing and Dynamic.”
Adam acknowledged:
“Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.”
The filly is
