INTRODUCING the LATEST WINNER for TRAPEZE ARTIST

Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott took the covers off their highly promising 2YO Colt when INTRODUCING ( Trapeze Artist x Smokin’ Alice) became the latest Winner by TRAPEZE ARTIST (by Snitzel) when he greeted the judge on debut at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

INTRODUCING had demanded attention after winning his first barrier trial earlier this month beating stakes-winner Platinum Jubilee.

He took that good form to race day to win on debut over 1000m on a Heavy 8 deck at Warwick Farm.

INTRODUCING was sent out favourite for the 1000m maiden but is still very green and he made his jet pilot Brett Prebble earn his riding fee after becoming hyped-up on the way to the barriers.

He was very revved-up but once loaded into the machine, and as the gates crashed back, he bungled the start and was slowly away before quickly gaining his balance and rushing through to take the lead on the fence mid-race.

Rounding the home turn and INTRODUCING drifted 3 deep and then kept angling out to the centre of the track to find the better ground.

He was being seriously challenged at the 200m marker but with typical Waterhouse & Bott ‘Bone and Muscle’ the raw colt gathered himself up and was too strong in the run to the line to claim victory by half a length over Capital Heart with a 2.5 length gap back to Storm The Ramparts in third.

Co-Trainer Adrian Bott commented “He’s still a bit raw and there is plenty to improve on, but he’s got plenty of upside and it was great to see him get the job done.”

A $380,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Edinburgh Park draft, INTRODUCING is a

half-brother to ELEVEN ELEVEN (Fastnet Rock) a $3.1 million earning stakes-winner

and also to stakes-placed WAR MEMORIAL (Fastnet Rock).

INTRODUCING became the fourth winner from the outstanding broodmare Smokin’ Alice (USA).

INTRODUCING is now the third winner for Widden Stud’s enticing

first crop sire TRAPEZE ARTIST (a son of Snitzel).

The team at Dynamic Syndications were delighted with this result by INTRODUCING for his connections, and on this display there seems plenty of upside and genuine stakes class ability in the colt.

INTRODUCING is very closely related to our beautiful yearling filly we purchased from Edinburgh Park at the Magic Millions this year.

LUDICROUS MODE is out of the broodmare NOTHIN BUT A DREAM.

NOTHIN BUT A DREAM is an excellent producer in her own right, also being the DAM of

Gr2 Winning and Gr1 runner-up GLENFIDDICH.

This makes LUDICROUS MODE a 3/4 Sister to GLENFIDDICH (Fastnet Rock) – He was a 2yo winner who also claimed the Gr2 MVRC Stutt Stakes 1500m, and was Second in the Gr1 ATC Champagne Stakes 1600m, also second in the MRC Blue Diamond Prelude LR and third in the Gr1 Memsie Stakes.

LUDICROUS MODE is out of the broodmare NOTHIN BUT A DREAM and this mare is a Half-Sister to SMOKIN’ ALICE (6 wins) – whose the DAM of INTRODUCING, ELEVEN ELEVEN and WAR MEMORIAL.

Our Filly is by DUNDEEL (High Chaparral). Australia’s Champion 3yo on the racetrack,

DUNDEEL is doing the job at stud as a Proven Sire standing at a Service Fee of $66,000 at Arrowfield Stud.

Edinburgh Stud proprietor Ian Smith has been cultivating this female family for a decade and the results he has achieved out this pedigree for horse’s foaled and raised on his property is remarkable.

This yearling filly we purchased will have every opportunity in her racing career having been entrusted into the care of

Australia’s Leading Stable - Ciaron Maher Racing.

We have purchased our filly in conjunction with Ciaron to aim at 1600m to 2400m races as a 3yo and older racehorse and then, she will be in great demand having this deep black-type pedigree page behind her, to become a broodmare upon racetrack retirement.

INTRODUCING looks to have plenty of upside to add further Black Type to Our Filly’s Pedigree Page in the near future.
