JOHNNY DASHES to Sixth Race Win
JOHNNY DASHES to Sixth Race Win

The
Holiday Monday
kicked off in
sensational style
in
Queensland
when our
Chris and Corey Munce trained Dynamic galloper
JOHNNY DASH
went to Ipswich to compete in the
Great Northern Bm65 Hcp over 1666m
and the
$2.45 favourite
carried 61.0kgs to an easy victory with
Justin Huxtable
in the saddle.
He defeated second favourite Wanda’s Outlaw (55.0kgs) ($2.90) by 1.25 lengths with Eastown (57.0kgs) ($7.0) 2.03 lengths third.
Sitting in the box seat throughout,
JOHNNY DASH
had the perfect trail in transit. As expected, the racemap played out and the leader Eastown led with Resurrection sitting at is girth, ensuring we had a lovely position, leaders back, and the leader was running along setting a fair tempo.
Around the home turn Resurrection quickly stopped and allowed
JOHNNY DASH
an easy time to work out from behind Eastown and at the 200m, Johnny quickly accelerated going past the leader. From there it was a procession and under hands and heels JOHNNY DASH cruised to the line and when the camera flashed,
JOHNNY DASH
had won with ease.
The racecaller summed up the last 200m:
“The gap comes for Johnny, Eastown led the way, Johnny Dash looms dangerously on the outside Wanda’s Outlaw up to third, the rest are beaten. Johnny Dash he’s full bore, he got past Eastown. He’ll have to try it withstand and challenger Wanders Outlaw. I think he will do it. Johnny Dash 50m to go in front, he’s home, Huxtable sends him to the line, and Johnny Dash first, Wonders Outlaw second, Eastown third.”
Chris Munce was interviewed by the Sky Commentator who asked:
“Johnny Dash did the job very nicely I thought.”
Chris answered:
“Yeah, he's been a lovely horse. He came to us a while back now, but he just wasn't right. So we spelled him and started fresh and he's really just a lovely old horse. You know, there's still more wins in store for him. I actually do feel he could get out over something a little bit further too. So, it's good for him to win.
The Sky commentator added:
"It was a dominant win today I thought.”
Chris agreed:
“Yeah, it was good. It was good to train a winner to for Dynamic Syndications, they have been good supporters of mine since I started. So it’s nice to win another race for them. Thank you.”
JOHNNY DASH 5yo Brown Gelding by I AM INVINCIBLE from DASHOFF
took his overall career record to:

and Prizemoney:
$136,230
JOHNNY DASH
