Melbourne Cup hero Americain (USA) sired his first winner in Australia when
Geegee Blackprince scored in the
Tasmanian Sires’ Produce Stakes 2yo 1400m at Launceston on Sunday.
The field had no answer to the powerful finish of
GeeGee Blackprince who came down the centre of the track.
The 2yo son of
Americain (USA) finished so quickly he recorded a widening 2.25 length win from GeeGee Lanett with Pennstock a neck away in third.
Geegee Blackprince advances his record one win, one second and one third.

Americain - Melbourne Cup Winner & First Crop Sire
The handsome Americain (USA) is a shuttle sire who stands at Swettenham Stud Victoria in the Southern Hemisphere and in Calumet Farm Kentucky for the Northern Hemisphere.
Americain’s stallion career kicked off in style last July when his first runner to the track, a filly named
Folk Magic, won impressively at Woodbine, followed by another filly
Lizzy’s Way. Then another of his progeny,
Americain Woman, won impressively in France in April.
Geegee Blackprince is one of nine Americain sired horses to race in Australia. He has also sired
