Farnan (Not A Single Doubt) emerged as the nation's hottest juvenile colt with a sensational win in Saturday’s $3.5 million Gr1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill. In a brilliant performance of speed,
Farnan and Hugh Bowman went to the line a length and three quarters clear in what proved to be a
clean sweep for runners sold at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
The first six runners over the line in the world's richest race for 2YOs – Farnan (favourite), Away Game, Mamaragan, Tagaloa, Hungry Heart and Prague – were all knocked down at Queensland's pin-up yearling auction about 16 months ago.
The win was the seventh in the Slipper for Gai Waterhouse, but a special one as it was the first, she shared with her training partner Adrian Bott.
The win was also a first in the Golden Slipper for the man who rode Winx to so many famous victories, Hugh Bowman. "I've been in Sydney my whole career and this was a real signature race for me growing up and to win it – I'm really lost for words."
Farnan was offered late in the afternoon on the first day of the 2019 Gold Coast Yearling Sale by Vinery Stud and was purchased for $550,000 by Aquis Farm and Phoenix Thoroughbreds in partnership.
DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS RATINGS at the MM Sale 2019
As Owners and Followers of Dynamic Syndications are aware, we are bias towards
genetic pedigree analysis when it comes to our yearling selection procedures.
At the 2019 Magic Millions, we rated every pedigree page on every yearling before any inspections.

Again, our information systems identified horses with the superior genetic pedigrees.
Of the 11 yearlings that went through the salering we had inspected all 11 yearlings.
From these we would have loved to have purchased 8 of them, however their sale price was well over our maximum ceiling price.
