On Saturday 23 May,
Dynamic Syndications promising middle-distance galloper
ELABORATE (4yo g Excelebration x Laurinel Argie) recorded
back-to-back wins in race 5 at Newcastle, for the inform
Freedman Brothers Training Stables, when he was far too dominant for his peers in a Benchmark 70 handicap carrying 59.5kgs with
Christian Reith aboard.
ELABORATE winning the Sharp Electronics Group Bm 70 over 1895m at Newcastle
ELABORATE won the
Sharp Electronics Group Cond Bm 70 Hcp over 1895m by 0.91 length defeating Commander Bell 53.5kgs with 0.15 length back to She’s So Savvy in third.
They recorded a fast time of 1:58.43 with a very slick last 600m of 34.63.
ELABORATE in full stride
ELABORATE was turned out in fantastic order in the pre-parade by the stable and was backed accordingly from $3.50 into
$2.80 favourite in the field of 11 runners.
ELABORATE has now taken his career to
21 starts: 4 Wins, 5 seconds, 4 thirds and $125,660.
This was also his
4th BOBS Bonus earnings win which has added
$22,500 in additional prizemoney.
Richard Freedman and his son Will are doing a fantastic job from their Rosehill Stables and have recorded yet another winner for Team Dynamic.
The race went a bit pear shaped as they jumped when Any Wish – being ridden by Jeff Penza, couldn’t control his mount which jumped straight left in front of
ELABORATE, causing Christian Reith to significantly check
ELABORATE, forcing him back a length and a half, losing field position on settling.
After the field had peeled off their first 300m as they passed the mile marker, he had settled worse than mid-field, 5 lengths off the speed.
Christian was one off the fence with three runners behind him but then 100m further on, Christian had to check again when French Response who he was following in transit, dropped anchor suddenly forcing Christian to grab hold.
Now a seasoned and mature galloper,
ELABORATE didn’t overreact and took no harm from the two checks early in the race and just went into a rhythm, conserving energy as the race unfolded in front of him.
The Dynamic Duo remained like this until the 700m when Christian slipped him a little more rein to start to improve. Then approaching the 600m when the race was on in earnest,
ELABORATE rolled up three wide, then four wide as he kept improving.
As the field started to swing into the home straight, Christian had a lap full of horse under him so kept circling the field and by the time they straightened up for the run down the home straight,
ELABORATE was 6 deep to the outside of the pack and still three lengths off the lead.
Despite the extra ground our horse was covering and the big weight he was carrying,
ELABORATE cruised up to the leaders as they passed the 200m mark and went straight on bye.
At the 100m the race was over, and Christian was able to watch the big screen on the inside of the track, seeing he was in no danger so he allowed
ELABORATE to keep rolling over the final 75m under his own steam, to record a very comfortable win.
ELABORATE returns to scale after winning
ELABORATE is a fantastic recommendation and a shining light for the horse husbandry and care of RICHARD and WILL FREEDMAN and their team.
ELABORATE has had his share of issues including knee chips being removed however is one of the most honest and reliable horses in training, as is shown by recording his second win in a row, having won impressively at Hawkesbury the start prior.
In fact, this preparation he had two foundation building runs over 1400m and 1600m which are far too short for him, then a 1,030m barrier trial between runs. He was then at prime fitness and fresh as he started at distances that suited him.
His first was at 1850m at Newcastle under Keegan Latham where he was a solid runner-up carrying 60.0kgs to Loves To Rock who only carried 56.5kgs.
Then he went to a 1900m at Gosford where Keegan Latham rode him again and was carrying 58.5kgs. Unfortunately,
ELABORATE was the recipient of one of the most ill-judged rides we have received in a long time when trapped 3 deep the trip, on speed, facing the breeze, and taking off well before acceptances at the 800m mark, where he naturally tired under the massive workload to be beaten 2.5 lengths.
A replacement jockey was called for by connections for his next start at Hawkesbury with Jay Ford hopping into the saddle and he won by 2.55 lengths carrying 58.0kgs and now this win at Newcastle for Christian Reith.
ELABORATE won his first race at start number 11 over 1600m at Kembla.
So, over the
past 10 starts, he has won 4 races, 3 seconds, 2 fifths and 1 sixth.
Importantly, as a
BOBS eligible horse he won two races as a 3yo and then as a 4yo we had paid up for
BOBS extra which is paid on races beyond 1600m. The
four (4) BOBS Bonus eligible wins have added
$22,500 in extra prizemoney on top of the
$103,160 he has earned on the track.
ELABORATE will now be targeted at city races having successfully raced through his provincial grades and will be aimed towards the 2100m Bm74 at Warwick Farm on Monday June 8.
