SECOND UPDATE:
Consistent ALMANZOR (FR) filly MOONLIGHT MAGIC gave boom young shuttle sire his 16th Stakes Winner to go with his 22 Stakes Placegetters from only two and a half crops of racing age, when she broke her maiden status earning a well-deserved Gr3 success in the Trelawney Stud Championship Stakes over 2100m at Ellerslie on Saturday.
With a dominant come from-behind victory, she was carrying the silks of her owner/breeder The Sunlight Trust. Moonlight Magic is a daughter of Cambridge Stud Shuttle Sire ALMANZOR (FR) out of Japonica (Encosta De Lago) and has earned $99,655 in prizemoney from eight starts; all in this preparation.
She had trailed the field in last place for most of the journey, before her rider got busy on the filly approaching the home turn and looping the field 6 deep to make a long, sustained run.
Moonlight Magic produced an electric turn of foot at the 300m to burst clear and dash to a three-length victory over Solidify with First Innings third.

Roadcone (3c Almanzor x On The Ball (So You Think)) for P G Moody & Katherine Coleman.

He has crystal clean X-Rays and a perfect Grade 1 Endoscopic evaluation.
Even before the win of CIRCLE OF FIRE – we knew this was a sensational mating offering a Score of A+++ and a Q6 Rating.
We bought him to aim at Derbies; Cups and the $1m Magic Millions Stayers Race.

Whilst there has been three stakes winners bred on this cross to date producing three (3) Gr1 Winners:
AL RIFFA, (Gr1),
ZELLIE (Gr1) and
CIRCLE OF FIRE (Gr1).
Interesting statistics reveal two Gr1 Winners won their Gr1 races as 2yo’s over 1400m - 1600m whilst Circle Of Fire has won his Gr1 at 3200m.
Now here we are in April, three months after purchasing our colt, and Ciaron Maher has trained the Winner of the Gr2 Chairman’s Hcp over 2600m on Day 1 of the Championships and the horse lined up seven days later in the Gr1 Sydney Cup and won with ease!
Dynamic Syndications paid $125,000 + GST for our colt and placed him into the care of CIARON MAHER.
