High-class staying filly Positivity headlined another successful day for ALMANZOR (FR) when she triumphed in the Gr3 SA Fillies’ Classic at Morphettville.

The Andrew Forsman-trained filly produced a sterling performance to overwhelm her rivals in the 2500 metre feature.
POSITIVITY (NZ) winning the Gr3 SA FILLIES CLASSIC 2500m
Positivity settled midfield on the fence before rider Damian Lane angled her off the rail with 700 metres to run and she held a strong gallop for her third victory from eight races.
“I would think it is her last run for the preparation,” Forsman said.
“She has done a lot. To go over to Melbourne and settle into a new environment plus two trips back and forth to Adelaide, she has done a very good job to get to this point and I think she can have four or five weeks in the paddock now before a spring preparation.
“To be fair, this was her target race. Two weeks ago, she went into the Australasian Oaks off the back of a little bit of a freshen-up and a gap between runs."
Damian Lane said, “I just put her into the race, and she did the rest. It’s a very good effort to hold her form as long as she has this preparation, credit to Andrew and his team for keeping her up and well for that long."
Positivity is now a dual Gr3 Winner and Gr1 placed having won the Gr3 Sunline Vase and finishing runner-up in the Gr1 New Zealand Oaks before she crossed the Tasman to Australia for her two-race hit-and-run mission.
POSITIVITY winning the Gr3 Sunline Stakes
The filly is a daughter of the stakes-winning O’Reilly mare Pussy O’Reilly. She was bred by Sir Patrick and Justine Lady Hogan with Peter Walker and was purchased at Karaka by Ben Kwok for $160,000.
Whilst across the ditch in NZ, ALMANZOR - the Cambridge Stud shuttle sire had earlier in the day had produced two local three-year-old winners with Geriatrix securing a trip to the Queensland for the winter carnival with his Rotorua victory whilst Eliud bolted in at New Plymouth.

Dynamic Syndications purchased a target colt by ALMANZOR at the Magic Millions to give us a genuine chance at Derbies and Cups and were thrilled to own him when the gavel fell at $125,000 + GST.
Since then, ALMANZOR progeny have really come to the fore, placing the young sire in FIRST place on the NZ 3YO Sires Premiership and THIRD on the Third Crop Sires Premiership in Australia and whilst recently Anchovy’s first foal named Sailing Away (Merchant Navy) broke his Maiden at Riccarton and the Ciaron Maher team are very upbeat by the progression of the second foal named West Indies (by Fastnet Rock).
