Australia’s Champion First Crop Sire elect as
PRIDE OF DUBAI as the leading young sire added two new winners, one in each hemisphere.
Currently Australia’s Best First Season Sire by earnings with an insurmountable lead,
Pride of Dubai is a dual Group 1 winning son of Street Cry from the female family of
Invincible Spirit and
Kodiac.
Pride of Dubai shuttled to Coolmore Stud in Ireland for two seasons and has over 100 two year-olds to run for him up there this year.
In the UK on Saturday, his son
Fancy Man became his second winner in the Northern Hemisphere when he made a winning debut over seven furlongs at Haydock. The colt was strong to the line winning by the best part of a length and giving promise of better things to come.
Fancy Many became the
second UK Winner for PRIDE OF DUBAI in seven days after he posted his first Northern Hemisphere winner thanks to a tenacious victory from
Star of Emaraaty also over seven furlongs.
Back home on Sunday in Australia, Pride of Dubai sired yet another new winner with
Diesel ‘n’ Dust romping home to win by nearly four lengths at Wodonga over 1100m. Placed at his two previous starts, the gelding was overdue for a win.
Bred by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, who owned and raced Pride of Dubai, Diesel ‘n’ Dust is the first foal from Mooshakissa, a winning half-sister by Duporth to Group 3 winner Broadband.
Diesel ‘n’ Dust became the 12th Australian bred winner (11 in Australia and one in NZ) for Pride of Dubai, along with his two winners in the Northern Hemisphere.
Pride of Dubai is the leading Australian first season sire by earnings with $1,295,198 and is a massive $315,829 ahead of his nearest rival with just 10 days of the Racing Season remaining.
PRIDE OF DUBAI stands at Coolmore Stud this spring at a Service Fee of $38,500.
