The win by Dynamic Syndications
SPECIFIC CHOICE at Randwick last Saturday allowed Champion racehorse and sire
Lonhro (Octagonal-Shadea, by Straight Strike) to
equal the Australian record for most winners at 155 in a season.
SPECIFIC CHOICE - winning at Randwick
The Australian benchmark of
155 winners was held jointly by Lonhro's long-term barn-mate
Commands, who sadly passed away only a few days ago and
Bel Esprit.
Then on Thursday at Geelong, he set a New Australian record after his 3yo daughter Cilla's Choice won.
That filly became
Lonhro's 156th individual winner for this season.
Fittingly,
Commands featured in Lonhro's record-breaking win, with Cilla's Choice being out of Commands daughter Constanza.
LONHRO
Lonhro, who is currently in
sixth position on the Australian sires table, will stand the coming breeding season at a fee of $88,000 at Darley Stud in the Hunter Valley.
