impressive debut victory.
STATUETTE strongly added her name to the
Royal Ascot equation with this dominant display in winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Navan.
Such was the demolition job on her peers in winning,
STATUETTE, was backed into
3-1 at Betfair and Paddy Power for the
Gr3 Albany Stakes market.

11-10 favouritism and
“justified” that huge support, as the extremely professional newcomer powered clear of her rivals over the latter stages to attain the
“TDN Rising Stard” moniker on debut.

The chestnut filly was well away, tracking the leaders in third spot through the early stages. Nudged along to close off soon after passing the 400m marker, she quickened smartly to lead with just under a furlong remaining and then, her rider pushed the turbo button and she went whoosh, to prevail by an impressive three lengths margin and became the second winner for her freshman sire
JUSTIFY (by Scat Daddy).
STATUETTE flew to the post to score at Navan
Winning rider Ryan Moore said:
“It was nice to start her off on some nice ground. She’s a lovely, big filly and she was a standout physically. She did that really nicely. She’s a Justify out of Immortal Verse so she’s got an incredible pedigree. I’d like to think, looking at the size of her, that she will continue to progress throughout the season. She’s a filly that Aidan O’Brien likes and I’m very happy with what she’s done.”
Chris Armstrong Ballydoyle Stable representative added:
“She has always shown loads at home. She could be a filly for the Albany (at Royal Ascot). We’ll take her home and see, she’s a very big filly and we will see how she comes out of it. Obviously, she is by Justify, an incredibly exciting sire – she is his first winner in Europe and he had a very good winner in America last weekend, and we have some other nice Justify’s.”
