Spelling paddock bound
LOVE TAP ran a wonderful
4th place on Saturday, in the
Gr1 Spring Champion which capped off a remarkable preparation which saw him advance from a Nowra 1200m maiden win on debut, to a 1200m Goulburn Benchmark 58 win. Then returned to Goulburn for a Class 2 1500m win and then, onto Rosehill for a
Gr3 win at 1800m in the Gloaming Stakes before a
courageous run in the Spring Champion to earn a
well-deserved Gr1 performance on his pedigree page.
However, the lure of the Gr1 in the Spring proved to be
one run beyond his physical strength and maturity at this stage of his fledgling career.
Simply, the fact was
2000m proved to be 200m too far.
LOVE TAP this time through the system, was just not physically developed enough to handle the rigours of the 10-furlong trip in top grade so deep into his preparation.
LOVE TAP had been in work for
189 days. It was a long prep with only an 18-day
"freshen-up” after his first start, add-in the hard run when setting the pace in winning the Gloaming at his previous start, most likely pushed him just over the top, which saw him race a bit flat compared to his four previous runs.
Nash Rawiller was full of praise for LOVE TAP post-race. “He went super, He was a spent force at the top of the straight, but he refused to give in. He dug deep, a lesser horse would have dropped right out and run last but not him. He went better than he should of and that’s all about class. I can’t wait for the autumn with this fella he’ll be so much bigger and stronger, and he’ll win something big.” Nash reported.
From just 5 Starts he recorded 4 Wins and earned $187,000 for his terrific Dynamic Syndications Ownership Team.
It’s been a wonderful ride so far with the promise of significantly more to come for: Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr D M Badger, Ms J E Mors, Mrs T E Parish, Mr A M Parish, Mr S L Goodger, Mrs V D Dowling, Ms P Speight, Mr J Yianni, Mr N B Patterson, Ms A Rohde, Mrs C G Bodey, Ms D G Hall, Mr S A Hardiman, Mrs K Corby, Mr A N Luckman, Miss A J Hayes, Mr G J Breen, Mrs K Tew, Dynamic no. 94
We take this
opportunity to thank the FREEDMAN BROTHERS Training Team of RICHARD FREEDMAN and MICHAEL FREEDMAN who polished
LOVE TAP to sparkle on the track and take our owners on an exciting journey.
We thank
NASH RAWILLER for his brilliant horsemanship he displayed as our appointed jet pilot on
LOVE TAP and gave him the gun runs.
Most importantly,
we thank LOVE TAP for his courage, class and determination to please his owners.
His will to succeed is always looked for in a thoroughbred but seldom found.
In
LOVE TAP it’s the aura he projects that has us so excited. A laid-back, confident dude, with untapped ability. He has the swagger of a good horse.
So big fella, enjoy the beautiful Spring weather on your
well-deserved rural holiday and
we look forward to seeing you when you return.
Onwards and Upwards!
