Australian Record for Individual Winners sired by a second crop sire.

NORTHERN METEOR, a Group 1 winning son of
ENCOSTA DE LAGO, stood at Widden Stud for just four (4) seasons before his premature death in 2013, but what he achieved in that time made him one of the most influential Australian sires of the past decade with
six (6) of his sons standing at stud.
Northern Meteor was crowned Champion First Season Sire of 2012/2013.
Northern Meteor was also the Champion Second Season Sire by Winners the following year when his tally of 80 set an Australian record.

under siege by his Newgate Farm based son
DEEP FIELD, who has 75 winners on the board with still 6 weeks of the season remaining.

DEEP FIELD already has 15 individual stakes horses, which is on a par with his own champion sire Northern Meteor at the same stage of his career.
A record breaking sprinter that has been extremely popular with breeders and professional buyers alike,
DEEP FIELD has covered 1119 mares in his first five seasons, the first four of those at a fee of $22,000 before a 100% jump to $44,000 in 2019 and in 2020 he jumps another 20% moving up to $55,000. This is a well-deserved increase which would have been significantly bigger if the COVID Crisis hadn’t affected the market.

At the end of the 2019 calendar year Dynamic Syndications having done our due diligence work ahead of the upcoming yearling sale circuit chose DEEP FIELD as one of the stallions we believed was the right stallion to buy his progeny. We looked hard and wide and purchased the magnificent filly from the outstanding broodmare ZARINIA (IRE).

6 foals to race, 5 winners including 4 Stakes Horses.
IGUGU
Among these are the sensational filly IGUGU – twice Champion Racehorse and Horse of the Year in South Africa, this Australian bred filly was exported to South Africa and became their equivalent to BLACK CAVIAR and WINX.
ZARINIA (IRE) also produced
Gr3 Winner HONORIUS, Stakes Winner NGAGA and Stakes Placed SWEET FIRE. Whilst another daughter, the unraced Gayika, has produced Gr2 Winner
TARKA.

Best Pedigree’s in the Australian Stud Book and daughters offer incredible residual value upon retirement for stud duties.
