2yo filly TAPA by EXCELEBRATION x BEEBOP became hot first crop sire
EXCELEBRATION's 3rd individual winner when leading all the way to win over 1200m this afternoon.
EXCELEBRATION (by Exceed And Excel) - Hot First Crop Sire
Adam Watt & Chris Munce with another Dynamic Winner
Chris Munce and Dynamic Syndications race many horses together and at this year’s Magic Millions we purc
hased a magnificent colt by Excelebration from the Gr2 Winning mare LAURINEL ARGIE.
We both rated the colt highly and it was a given that we would buy the colt to give to Chris and make it the first syndication we have done in the state of Queensland.
The biggest reason behind us starting Queensland Syndications is that the
prizemoney in Queensland is now so good for Metropolitan class horses and the training costs are far more economical in Brisbane compared to Sydney and Melbourne.
Also our colt is very rare in the fact he is eligible for both QTIS and BOBS as well as the Magic Millions race series.
Then we add in the Golden Slipper, Golden Rose, Blue Diamond and Blue Sapphire.
For any horse to be eligible to all these bonus monies options, allowing the owners to aim at massive prizemoney levels is very much to the owners advantage. Our owners deserve to have access to those opportunities.
Just two (2) x 5% Shares remain (90% Sold) in our Excelebration x Laurinel Argie Colt with Chris Munce and we all know the stallion is doing a fantastic job with his first crop of horses.
As a young sire
Excelebration has struggled with fertility issues and as a consequence, he only had small foal crop numbers. In an era where books of 200 plus mares per season are considered normal,
Excelebration only sired a first crop of
67 live foals (68%) (current 2yo’s) but worse - only
38 of these foals have been named.
His second crop (current yearlings) there are just
45 live foals (62%).
With his oldest Southern Hemisphere horses current season 2yo’s, he has had
12 foals to race:
3 Winners; 4 placegetters; 3 fourth placed horses. That’s 10 of his 12 runners have weighed-in (83.3%).
Considering the stallion was at his best as a 3yo and his limited opportunities based upon low foal crop numbers,
Excelebration’s progeny simply can’t do a better job than they are doing at present.
SAINT PATRICKS DAY (by Excelebration) trained by Chris Munce 2 wins inc Dalrello Stakes LR
Apart from the very impressive
Darello Stakes Winner SAINT PATRICKS DAY for
Chris Munce (now 2 wins) and the recent Australian bred South African 2yo Winner
PHELAN LUCK, along with his latest winner
TAPA, Excelebration also has sired 4 good quality placegetters:
EXCELEBRAZIONE (2nd Doomben; 4th Eagle Farm),
HIGH DIVE, (2nd Hawkesbury; 2nd Gosford),
EXCELAMORE (2nd Newcastle; 2nd Muswellbrook),
IRISH SUCCESS (3rd Kembla) whilst three additional starters have finished fourth;
Can Party (4th Kembla),
Cedar Falls (4th Warwick) and
Smooth Celebration (4th Seymour).
Now add in the fact that we purchased the
“Best Colt” on pedigree and conformation and the
“Most Expensive Colt” by the sire from the yearling sales in 2017.
We have given Chris Munce the best opportunity to train and race the best bred Excelebration colt from his small second crop numbers of
45 foals.
