TENNER Delivers Debut WIN for Her Dynamic Owners
TENNER Delivers Debut WIN for Her Dynamic Owners

Trainers Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald
had a busy day with runners everywhere and they were
recording milestone wins
, such as Sunshine In Paris winning the
Gr1 Champion Sprint
at Flemington.
True to their
professionalism
, whilst others may have been celebrating that success, and for
Rob Archibald
in particular, it was
his first Gr1 win as the trainer
in partnership with Annabel, it was
Rob Archibald
who as soon as that dust settled in Melbourne he
called Adam at Dynamic
to talk about
how happy their Team were
having trained for
our Dynamic Syndications Owners, 3yo filly
TENNER
who went to the sport for the first time at Goulburn on Saturday and
got the job done.
TENNER
is a 3yo Bay Filly foaled 4-Nov-2021 by MAGNA GRECIA (IRE) from BLUE MONEY
She won Race 2, Goulburn
Mazda & Isuzu Ute Maiden Plate over 1000m. A
BOBS eligible
filly,
TENNER
picked up $8,150 for the win + a BOBS Bonus of $5,625 banking
$13,775
for the effort. Opening at $10 she was backed in to $8, $6, $5.5, $6 as the gates clanged back.
Ridden by Adrian Layt, TENNER
was away well but Adrian allowed the initial speed to go, and he was able to get
TENNER
into a perfect position one pair back on the fence, behind the eventual runner-up and second favourite Exothrill, who had jumped quickly from barrier 9 and sped to the front, crossing the field to find the fence, as the favourite Diamond Ridge drove-up and sat at the girth of the leader.
After 300m, the field settled into positions, with the two in the market trying to control the speed and Adrian had
TENNER
following them on the paint, helping to guide her through her debut effort at the sport.
As the field swung around the home turn and balanced into the straight with 400m left to run, Exothrill kicked a length whilst the favourite Diamond Ridge wobbled out two horses. Adrian saw that and immediately hit the “go button” and our filly extended nicely and drove through the gap between the runners to give chase to the leader. By the 300m
TENNER
had reeled-in the leader and swept to the front by a length, 3 off the fence, and out on her own with those chasing unable to offer any competition.
However, this was where two factors came into play. She was inexperienced and being in front she started to stargaze and have a good look around. Then with 100m left to run, she was well in control but out of gas and only running on fumes. Adrian tried to nurse her to the camera, urging her along under hands and heels as the filly was trying hard, but lactic acid was building up.
This allowed Exothrill who she had beaten off at the 300m but hanging in there, to keep fighting whilst
TENNER
was taking fairy footsteps over the final 25m.
TENNER
and Adrian dug in for the fight, and she showed true grit to hold on for a courageous win by a 3yo filly first time at the sport to hold out a 4yo gelding. The margin was narrow but the win was satisfying as
TENNER
posted a 0.07 length
WIN
over the experienced and fit 4yo gelding Exothrill with third place to going to Rotho Bro 3yo Colt who finished 1.38 lengths away with 9.84 lengths covering the field of 9 runners.
On a Soft 5 surface,
TENNER ran a time of 58.70
with the final 600m in
35.11
which was the fastest last 600m of the day.
What’s in a name
?
TENN
ER
is a
slang reference
of a
$10 cash note
which is
blue
in colour
. Out of the mare
Blue Money
she was well named by her owners.
Adrian Layt
reported to the owners:
“She does everything right, a little professional. Tracked the speed, just popped out at the top of the straight, went between horses. I thought to myself, she won’t have to find a great deal from here and she should put them away, there’s not a lot of depth in the form. She did exactly that. Probably found wanting a little bit the last 50m because she was getting tired. A little bit of greenness on her part. But all-in-all, she will be up-and-up from there. That's good. Thank you.”
CONGRATULATIONS to the Team of Loyal Dynamic Syndications Owners that race TENNER:
Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr D A Poletto, Mr G M Parker, Mr R Romaldi, Mr J D Ilott, Mr T J Van Lathum, Mr D Clark, Mr M R Egan, Mr G S J England, Mr L G Page, Mr B Atkins, Mr J Milne, Mr S C Johnson, Mr A Holbeck, Mr M J Hill, Butter Wheel, Mr P R Farley
.
Thanks
goes to
Annabel Neasham
and
Rob Archibald
who have done a
terrific job polishing our filly
into being able
to win on debut.
Also, thanks go to
Adrian Layt
for a
terrific ride
on our inexperienced filly on debut. The ride taught her how to settle, and how to win, and
Adrian’s kind hands
got the best out of our filly late in the race.
Dynamic Syndications purchased TENNER
having previously purchased the elder half-sister by American Pharoah named
Pharoahocious
. She was showing us plenty in training but was tragically killed in a paddock accident before she raced. So, we went and purchased this half-sister by
Magna Grecia
which was named
TENNER.
There is another filly between them named
Must Be The Money
by No Nay Never who has subsequently won 2 races. There is a weanling by Bivouac.
TENNER
recorded Dynamic Syndications
20th
Race Win
for the new season, and our
910th
Race Win
overall.
It was also our
314th
Individual
Winner
from
