Dynamic Syndications and our terrific Newcastle trainer JASON DEAMER have combined for another racetrack win.
On Friday at Scone,
Jason Deamer presented his
latest addition to his stable, our 4yo mare
TOO MUCH CLASS (Smart Missile x Skyline Blush) in
excellent condition and our mare had the services of
Lee Magorrian to guide her around the 1600m on a good 4 surface to claim Race 1 on the programme, the
Arrowfield Stud, Class 2 Handicap.
TOO MUCH CLASS (58.5kgs) ($4.60) defeated
Oakfield Hiawatha (60.0kgs) ($4.40) by 0.14 length with
Capital Venture (56.0kgs) ($9) in third spot by 0.69 length. The race was run into a
strong headwind up the straight, yet they still ran a slick 1:36.02 with a last 600m in 36.35.
TOO MUCH CLASS has taken her career record to 10 sts: 3 – 2 – 0 - 2 and $60,065 prizemoney.
Dynamic Syndications purchased
TOO MUCH CLASS from
Gooree Park after the horse had one start for then trainer Mark Newnham where she ran last of 11 runners.
Gooree Park offered the then 3yo filly for sale in the dispersal of the Estate of the Late Eduardo Cojuangco.
For our new ownership team, TOO MUCH CLASS has raced 9 occasions for 3 wins and 2 seconds and $60,065.
Originally, she was placed in the care of
Ciaron Maher Racing where she had
8 starts for 2 wins and 2 placings plus 2 fourths. This preparation she had raced 4 times for a second and 2 fourths, but after discussions with the stables, we felt that the mare may benefit from a change, and we sent her to our wonderful horse mentor
JASON DEAMER at Newcastle.
She arrived at Newcastle in
excellent condition, so Jason gave her a couple of quite weeks pottering about and then a soft trial at Scone on the 15th September, where we asked Lee Magorrian to get to know her, with this race on our radar.
Adam Watt from Dynamic and Jason Deamer worked out where we were to head to with for her first up run back after 6 weeks between runs. The mile at Scone looked ideal on the big roomy track after freshening up from an 1850m assignment on August 11 at Newcastle where she failed to get the distance.
It was great placement, wonderful horse husbandry by her trainer, terrific race tactics, and a wonderful ride that combined to deliver a super win for her loyal Dynamic Syndications Ownership Team.
We had wanted to get back in this race and find cover, allowing her to settle into her own rhythm until well into the straight before facing the breeze.
As the gates flung back,
TOO MUCH CLASS jumped cleanly but with soft hands, Lee Magorrian was able to get our mare into a relaxed rhythm early so by the time the field had passed the first 200m peg,
TOO MUCH CLASS was second last on the fence some 8 lengths off the leaders.
Content with his position,
Dynamic Syndications other runner in the race Loose Buttons, who was also asked to be restrained as she was attempting to run 1600m for the first time, had worked across from the outside barrier to race as a pair at the back of the field.
The pattern of the race didn’t alter until the field passed the 600m post on the approach to the home turn, where they began to bunch and a few horses shifted out to gain runs.
Loose Buttons rider Ben Looker choose to search for a run 4 deep as the field straightened whilst Lee Magorrian bided his time in behind the leaders as they hit the breeze head on.
Loose Buttons hit the wall head-on and found the going tough into the teeth of a the breeze and tried hard but couldn’t make much headway.
Passing the 300m Lee angled
TOO MUCH CLASS off the heels of the favourite Full Coverage who was going nowhere but to do that she had to push Capital Venture out of the way to gain a clear racing line.
As the field passed the final furlong marker, Oakfield Hiawatha had pinched a 3-length break in the lead and it looked as if the race was over.
However, in typical style, Jason Deamer horses always find, and TOO MUCH CLASS gave chase.
Stride by stride, the margin was being whittled down and in the shadows of the post
TOO MUCH CLASS wanted it more and she drove past the leader to go on and win by 0.14 length
Congratulations to our loyal Owners, Trainer and jet pilot jockey.

Post-race Jason Deamer said:
"She had a lot of class there towards the end , she needed it all and she needed a very long straight which she got her at Scone and she arrived just in time.
"The race was run at a good genuine tempo she settled nice and relaxed and just worked her way into it and kept finding the line really strong."
Jason was then asked how many horses he has for Dynamic Syndications?
Jason replied:
"Oh I've got a few - we're nearly called "Dynamic Lodge" these days, its just about a full house, when one goes, another one comes in. We've got about 14 in work (from 17 boxes) just for the Dynamic Team.
"It's great they give me a lot of support and its great to have winners for them. They move their horses around and place them where they are suited best so that's why she (Too Much Class) came to me and we got the cash. "
Post-race Lee Magorrian said:
"Yeah she hit the line well. They told us to ride it quiet, and her into
a rhythm and she did that nicely she got back and had full cover into
the corner, and when I got her out she was strong right through the
line, Deamer does a great job with his horses which we all know, She was
primed for today, she looked well and it was good to get a winner for
Dynamic Syndications."
Then Jason recorded the post race debrief with Lee for our owners who added:
"That was a great return today to the races. She looked great as all of Jason’s do. She jumped well, but I just took her back to get her into a rhythm, and let her find her feet, let her be happy.
“The winds up today so you wanted to have as much cover as you can. All the splits came at the right time, and she was strong to the line.
“I think she’ll probably get a little bit further than a mile but it was a nice stepping stone today and it was good for her to get that confidence."
The win by TOO MUCH CLASS recorded a Dynamic Dozen of wins (12) to start the new 2021-22 Racing Season and our 738th Race Win Overall.
Onwards and Upwards!
