On Tuesday 2nd June we wrote a story about
Adam Watt from Dynamic Syndications the previous week having gone out to see our yearlings progressing through their
third phase of pre-training and education.
Among our magnificent team, one yearling that shone brightly was our
DEEP FIELD x ZARINIA (IRE) filly who is to be trained by
CIARON MAHER Racing.
Since we wrote that story, which included a reference to the fact that at that time we were
85% Sold, we have
sold a further two shares, therefore at at
FRIDAY 5 JUNE heading into a long weekend, we are now 95% SOLD in this superb lass.
With just the
1 x 5% Share remaining, you now need to
act quickly and contact
ADAM WATT if you wish to join this elite ownership team.
It's winter and our filly has a grown a lovely, healthy winter coat.
Moving like a Ferrari under saddle !
Adam arranged for a
video clip to be taken of the filly in work and then interviewed our horse educator,
Australia’s TOP Equestrian rider - SHANE ROSE (multiple times Australian Equestrian Team Olympian) for his views on the filly.

As we highlight in our webpages about this filly, she boasts one of the
Strongest BLACK-TYPE; Highly Commercial Pedigrees in the Australian Stud Book.
This ensures that she will be
in demand from most Commercial breeding operations as a Broodmare when her racing days conclude.

What’s now exciting both Shane Rose and ourselves, is her
ongoing physically development.
She has matured so well over the past few months,
adding excellent bone and muscle and continues to grow and furnish into a magnificent filly.
Whilst there are never any guarantees in racing, what we can be assured of is that with her magnificent looks matching such a fabulous pedigree, there is
minimal downside to a filly like ours which assists greatly in protecting our
Owner’s capital investment. Even if she couldn’t perform to our expectation on the racetrack, her female pedigree ensures
terrific residual value.
However we are about
living the dream and should she be able to emulate the deeds of
four (4) of her siblings whom have gone on to earn Stakes Success and add valuable
BLACK-TYPE for the pedigree page, therefore becoming the fifth sibling to earn Stakes Success, then apart from the prizemoney she would win, the
upward value of our filly could well smash through
seven figures.
Her female pedigree speaks for itself.
Our owners know how to read a pedigree page however for those readers whom may be new to the racing industry, the more
“BLACK-TYPE” on the pedigree page correlates to the higher the commercial value.
BLACK-TYPE refers to the
BOLD FONT printed on the pedigree page.
In racing there are
five (5) race grades that will earn Bold Font.
They are in descending order:
Group 1 (Gr1), Group 2 (Gr2), Group 3 (Gr3), Listed (L) and
Restricted Listed (RL)
When a horse
wins a Stakes Race, their name forever appears in the female family in
Bold UPPERCASE Font with the standard of the race also recorded, for example
Gr1 for winning a Group 1 race.
If a horse runs
Second or Third in these races, their name appears in
Bold Lowercase Font.
Finally, if a horse runs
fourth (4th) in these races, their name does not appear in Bold Font however the race is placed on the pedigree page with the grade of the race appearing in
Bold Font.
For example, if a horse was to run 4th in Cox Plate, it would appear as 4th MVRC Cox Plate
Gr1, with the
Gr1 printed in Bold Font.
As a rule, the higher the standard of BLACK-TYPE earned, the more valuable the horse.
So, a
Gr1 winning mare is worth significantly more than a Listed Winning mare but
both mares having their names in
BOLD Font are highly desirable for commercial breeders.
That’s why our filly is so desirable.
She is a half-sister to
6 foals to race for 5 winners including:
IGUGU
IGUGU – a
True Champion racehorse. She was bred in
Australia and exported to South Africa to race. She became a
four (4) time Gr1 Winner and was
crowned Horse Of The Year in 2011-12.
Three times she earned Champion Racehorse titles in South Africa. Her name appears in
BOLD Uppercase along with her Championship titles recorded in Bold Font
HONORIUS
She is followed by
HONORIUS. He was a
Gr3 Winner and
2 x Gr1, 5 x Gr3 and Listed placed in Australia. His name is in
BOLD Uppercase.
NGAGA
Then there was
NGAGA who was bred in
Australia and exported to South Africa to race. She won a
Listed Race and was
Gr3 and Listed placed.
SWEET FIRE
Also,
Sweet Fire was
placed 3rd in a Gr3 race in Australia. Her name appears in
BOLD Lowercase.
TARKA
In addition to these exceptionally talented racehorses, there was another daughter named Gayika who was unraced due to injury. She has produced a colt named
TARKA that won a
Gr2 race and was
placed in a Gr3 and ran 4th in a Gr1 in Australia.
Therefore, to buy into this pedigree is as rare as hen’s teeth. Hence why the demand should be significant.
So, it’s not surprising that the
breeder of our wonderful filly -
KIA ORA Stud who sold her at the sale have
bought a 25% interest to race with us, knowing the potential of the upside in commercial value.
Risk verse Reward - for KIA ORA Stud, it's a wise investment strategy.
Minimal Risk - Maximum Upside - Terrific Residual - Great Type - Fun - Glamour - Excitement
