Williamsburg (2yo c Snitzel x Fenway) is yet
another top quality 2YO son of Snitzel, whom has proved
too strong at Stakes Class.
WILLIAMSBURG
Williamsburg won on a very testing track at Rosehill last Saturday, in the
$160,000 The Schweppervescence, 1400m Group 3.
Williamsburg was a
$470,000 Inglis Easter purchase by Tony Fung Investments, is the
10th Arrowfield Stud graduate to win at Group or Listed level this season.
Incredibly, he’s also become the 120th Individual Stakes Winner – the 16th Individual Stakes Winner this 2021-22 racing season – and he recorded the 21st Stakes Win of the season for his Champion Sire Snitzel.
Williamsburg’s jockey Kerrin McEvoy could not recall more difficult conditions and said;
“Full credit to my horse…He was not loving it, but his ability got him through it, and he tried hard all the way to the line. He is a lovely horse for the future.”
Trainer Gerald Ryan, the expert horseman
who trained Snitzel, celebrated his
14th stakes winner by progeny of the Champion Sire, and the first with his new training partner
Sterling Alexiou.
Saturday’s success was quickly followed on Monday at Newcastle, with
Mr Mozart keeping the roll moving forward.
MR MOZART
Named after an all-time musical genius, the eye-catching
Mr Mozart is playing a lively tune this campaign, and he did it again in the
Group 3 $160,000 Doncaster Prelude 1500m. This race had been transferred to Newcastle on Monday, after the races were called off at Rosehill last Saturday.
It’s
Mr Mozart’s third stakes win, and he defeated his older peers in the manner of a 3YO going places, with the weight-for-age All Aged S. Group 1 on 16 April his likely next target.
Importantly, Mr Mozart recorded the
22nd stakes win in yet another sensational season for
multiple Champion Sire Snitzel.
At the 2022 Inglis Melbourne Premier Team Dynamic add another super Stallion Prospect to our team of 2022 yearling purchases when purchasing a
sensational SNITZEL Colt.
LOT 77 is now Dynamic - SNITZEL x MARCIA PROBA Chestnut Colt after we purchased him
Lot 77 a cracking chestnut colt with a huge pedigree page.
SNITZEL needs know introduction as Australia’s Champion Sire.
SNITZEL standing at stud
Standing for a Service Fee of
$220,000 in 2019 when this Colt was conceived,
SNITZEL has been Champion Australian Sire on 4 occasions and is
currently Australia’s leading sire of Stakes Winners again this season with
16 to date along with
being the leading sire of 2yo Winners and leading sire of 3yo Winners and has earnings of over $10m.
Lot 77 from the
Melbourne Premier is from the
brilliantly related mare MARCIA PROBA, who is a daughter of the wonderful producer FLIDAIS (by Timber Country).
MARCIA PROBA is the Dam of 4 foals to race to date = 3 Winners and 1 placegetter.

Our contracted veterinarian Dr Tim Roberts gave us the green light to buy the colt after reading his
42 X-rays in the repository, and viewing the
videoscope of his upper airway prior to the sale commencing.
Adam Watt & Dr Tim Roberts
Tim Roberts rated the colt highly and Adam Watt loved the colt on type, and with
clean X-rays and clean endoscopic evaluation, it was on our list,
but we really didn’t believe we had the firepower to buy him.
Such is the nature of yearling auctions;
you always must be there and have a go.
We note with interest the bidding war came down to ourselves and
the under-bidder, who was Lindsay Park (Ben and JD Hayes).
Offered for sale by
successful boutique Hunter Valley operation FERNRIGG FARM at Denman,
this colt is the
result of a
FOAL SHARE AGREEMENT between the
registered breeder and Arrowfield Stud, so
as per all foal share agreements, he was
offered for unreserved competition.
We had valued the colt so highly we made him our main target at the Premier Sale, which after the first two hours was
averaging $167,000 and had a Median of $160,000 when this colt entered the salering.
We market appraised him in this strong market to be a
$250,000 colt which was over our self-imposed ceiling price cap of
$220,000.

However, when the hammer fell, Lot 77 was now Dynamic, at our bid of $210,000 + GST some $40,000 under our market price appraisal.
Followers of Dynamic Syndications will be aware that this COLT is extremely closely related to another colt we purchased earlier this year, being by THE AUTUMN SUN x FLIDAIS.
THE AUTUMN SUN x FLIDAIS Colt
That colt is also a three-quarter-in-blood relation to SWEET IDEAL and SHOWTIME.
We purchased him for $200,000 + GST and he was sold out in 48 hours.
The difference this time being LOT 77 is a son of Australia’s Best Sire - SNITZEL.
Our latest purchase in addition to having a wonderful commercial pedigree page, and being a genuine stallion prospect should he earn black-type, as per our reason for purchasing him in the first instance, is that genetically - he is also bred to be superior.
He has an A+++ Enick and A+++ Geonick rating.

you would always want to have as many opportunities as possible of success in your favour than the alternative.
