Why? Tragically for the Australian Thoroughbred Breeding Industry, after commencing his stud career with much fanfare & high hopes, CRITERION initially proved to be sub-fertile, then sadly, infertile.

As a result he only produced a handful of progeny.

There are just 5 colts in existence by CRITERION foaled in 2017 - 4 were bred & retained outright by CRITERION's Owner - Sir Owen Glenn whilst Dynamic Syndications purchased the only other colt in existence not bred by Sir Owen.

This colt was bred by a commercial breeding partnership and offered for sale by Newgate Farm (As Agent).

On Monday 4th February, our photographer Amanda Wood went out to the spelling paddock to see our Criterion colt at play before he headed off to “school” to be broken-in and educated.

Amanda captured some great action shots whilst Adam was able to capture this video of the colt running in the paddock.
