A snapshot on the 20th October of the Sires Premiership Lists after the weekend racing where big prizemoney cheques were splashed about like confetti, temporarily changed the landscape on the General Sires by Earnings List after progeny of obscure sires won the Caulfield Cup (St Jean (IRE)) and The Everest (Shamexpress (NZ)).
Shamexpress now leads the General Sires thanks to Ka Ying Rising earnings from The Everest whilst St Jean is in 10th spot from just 2 winners thanks to Half Yours winning the Caulfield Cup.
Away from this skewered data, what is impressive is to see is who is performing well on the General Sires by Winners List, and the Broodmare Sires List.
On the General Sires by Winners, it’s a close tussle at the pinnacle with ZOUSTAR just a nose in front by one winner over SO YOU THINK with a nose away WRITTEN TYCOON in third spot.

Whilst the Broodmare Sires List makes intriguing reading with EXCEED AND EXCEL leading the way comfortably over PER INCANTO with FASTNET ROCK chasing hard.

It’s no coincidence that Team Dynamic purchased a colt at the yearling sales by one of these Leading Sires from a daughter of the Leading Broodmare Sire.
Nothing we do is by chance. It's always about due diligence and statistical data.
There were several reasons as to why we grabbed this now 2YO Colt.
Do you know how our Colt we are referring to is bred?
Firstly, the Colt is by a Champion Racehorse who became a Champion Sire and a Sire of Champions. He is going super this season and over the weekend, he sired another Gr3 winner and a Gr1 placegetter.
Secondly, he is from a daughter of a Champion Racehorse who became a Champion Sire and a Sire of Champions.
Third, the Sire over the Broodmare Sire is a highly successful mating pattern having produced 18 Stakes Winners by the Sire out of Danehill Line mares including 6 Gr1 winners bred on the cross: D’ARGENTO, INFERENCE, NAKEETA JANE, PALAISIPAN, QUICK THINKER, THINK ABOUT IT.
Fourth, the Genetic Rating of the Cross is a very strong A+ 727%.
Fifth, the Colt is a magnificent type, is sound and right of wind and limb.
Sixth, he was bred and raised on one of the thoroughbred industry’s best nurseries in the Hunter Valley
Finally, he represented amazing value.
Have you worked out who it may be?
