Dynamic Syndications are syndicating a superb filly by recently
Crowned Australia’s CHAMPION FIRST SEASON SIRE of 2013/14 I AM INVINCIBLE from the high quality race mare
PREDESTINED.
The art of buying yearlings is first and foremost the horse itself. Significant work is involved in finding the right horse that is conformationally sound, of good size and scope, athletic and well balanced.
Then there is the art of prediction. Envisaging how that yearling will furnish into a racing prospect as it becomes an older horse.
However that’s the easy part of our business. There are a few good judges about with the art and eye of buying the right horses.
We believe another major aspect of equal importance in purchasing horses is to know the breeding patterns. There is statistical data that supports the fact that some horses have been bred to offer a higher propensity to produce a Stakes Class racehorse over the balance of the equine population.
This information is collected and reviewed constantly, ensuring our awareness as to what the horse population success trends are, what patterns are producing black type race wins and then, reviewing the breeding patterns of those winners.
The facts are, certain crosses of
Sire over Broodmare sire lines have a higher chance than average to produce a Stakes winner compared to the whole thoroughbred population whilst other crosses have a lower chance of producing Stakes winners compared to the average.
Naturally we only want to purchase racing prospects from the smaller population group that has a higher probability to produce success.
Having identified an equine athlete bred on a cross with a higher opportunity to produce a stakes class winner, we then depend upon our veterinarian to pass the horse on physical inspection and upon a review of all 42 x-rays available in the repository.
As a long standing member of the
Bloodstock Agents Federation of Australia, our
Managing Director Dean Watt is qualified to appraise the “true” market value of a yearling being offered, based upon facts, figures and formula.
However there remains one vital aspect of the jigsaw.
That aspect is known as the
“Working Family”.
It’s not a political slogan. Families are considered
“working families” if there are several close up relations that are in full work or racing. Other factors that affect
“working families” include how many young horses (i.e. foals, yearlings, 2yo’s) there are in the immediate 3 dams that may race over the same racing career of our horse. These horses may add success and black type to a pedigree page.
Then there is the aspect of commercial breeding within the family. That refers to how many females are at stud and what is the quality of stallion to which they are being covered. This will naturally increase the opportunity for the pedigree page to grow and become more commercially valuable.
This is exactly what is happening at the moment with the filly we are syndicating with
Peter Moody.
Our filly by
I AM INVINCIBLE ex PREDESTINED (by Kings Best) is bred to offer a higher propensity of Stakes Class success than the population average.
She has a Genetic Pedigree Rating Score of
A+ 679% based upon the
Invincible Spirit over Kingmambo Cross. Whilst the extended 3 generation cross
GREEN DESERT x MR. PROSPECTOR has produced
69 Stakes Winners including 6 Gr1 Winners: SEA THE STARS ; NAAQOOS ; HOORAY ; KINGSMAN ; MIDDAY ; DESERT LORD
Our filly also obtained a
“Best Of Sale Rating Score of 1.0” which rated her on pedigree within the top 5% of the 775 catalogued lots on offer at the sale.
Knowing this information in advance helped us in selecting the filly for purchase.
However there is another wonderful example how working families can become significantly more valuable whilst your horse is enjoying itself in the spelling paddock
