For those who
follow Dynamic Syndications horses, Owners and punters alike would have been
“licking their lips” to
“get-on” our
Dynamic 3yo Filly I AM ME by (I AM INVINCIBLE from MEFNOODA) who was such
a last start dominant winner in Canberra of the
“Lickety Split” over 1000m in
class record time.
I AM ME Wins the "LICKETTY SPLIT" in Canberra 14/3/22
That opportunity presented itself on Tuesday 5th April at Ballarat in
Race 7, the Sportsbet Bet With Mates, Class 1 Hcp 1100m. A field of 11 runners with
I AM ME in barrier 9.
I AM ME wins at Ballarat 5-4-22
I AM ME won eased down by 4.25 lengths in a time of 1:04.39 and has advanced her career record to read:
5 Starts: 2 Wins, 1 Second, 1 Third and has earned Prizemoney of $56,950.
I AM ME winning eased down
After her win in Canberra and knowing the stable likes to space their horses about three to four weeks between their first start for a preparation and their second start,
Adam Watt at Dynamic Syndications reviewed the suitable options available in both Sydney and Melbourne.
He also had his eye firmly on the
rain bombs Sydney and NSW in general, have been receiving.
The forecast was very bleak in NSW, and as Victoria has missed most of the rain,
Adam chose to swap states, firstly to avoid bottomless training tracks and racetracks.
Secondly and most importantly, to teach her to go
anti-clockwise with the view that if she would step up and win this event comfortably, then there are some nice
3yo Fillies Stakes Races coming up in Adelaide in the coming weeks, which, if she could gain a start, we would take on.
Therefore, our
Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained filly I AM ME was sent to Melbourne two weeks earlier to escape the sodden Sydney surfaces, and it proved a masterstroke, as our filly took to the anti-clockwise trips of Victorian racing with ease.
Presented into the parade ring in immaculate condition by the Ciaron Maher stable, the racy and athletic, I AM ME with the stables “go-too” jet pilot John Allen on top, went to the barriers a dominant $1.75 favourite, over equal second favourite and eventual runner-up Home Rule ($8).
When the
camera clicked as she
flashed past the post,
I AM ME had demoralised her rivals with an effortless and
eased down 4.25 length winning margin over Home Rule, with Pentegra a head away back in third place.
Official Photo Finish of Race 7 Ballarat 5-4-22: Winner I AM ME
From the moment the gates crashed back,
I AM ME gave John Allen an armchair ride throughout.
Jumping swiftly from a wide barrier, she was in front on settling before Home Rule pushed up underneath her to establish the lead and hold the fence. It was all over from this point, just 100m into the race as John let
I AM ME roll up and sit at the girth of the leader, one off the fence, and away from any potential trouble.
Our Dynamic Duo stayed in this position until the point of the home turn, where
I Am Me was slipped a little rein and she moved up effortlessly to eyeball the leader, as they turned into the straight, whilst another two runners moved up to her outside.
I AM ME was sitting pretty, without being urged to improve, she was a neck in front passing the 300m.
At the 220m mark,
I AM ME had worked to a half-length lead over her rivals, when
John Allen pushed the
“go-button” and away she flew.
In a matter of strides,
I AM ME dashed away with an excellent turn of foot.
Passing the 150m she had established a 2-length lead and was allowed her head and
she dashed away under hands and heels and was allowed to idle down before the post to record a widening 4.25 length margin as her photo was taken.
Jockey John Allen was interviewed post-race saying:
“That was obviously a good win, she had good form in Sydney.
“Watching a couple of her replays she got back in the field, but she just sprung the gates today, and found herself outside the lead without doing any work. Yeah, it was pretty plain sailing. Off a win like that she’s definitely right to go to town, and in a suitable race, she should be very competitive again.”

I AM ME recorded Dynamic Syndications 31st Win for the current season 2021-22 and our 757th Race Win overall.
It also continues our successful achievements over the past few weeks, sneaking horses down to Victoria to avoid the rain-soaked NSW tracks.
I AM ME is the 6th interstate individual winner in the past 7 weeks!
She joins fellow recent interstate winners: TEXCEL, SAINT OF KATOWICE, MAJOR ARTIE & LORD PARAMOUNT in Victoria, whilst on Monday 4th April we went north up to Brisbane to find a dry surface where we won with SENSATIONALISATION.
Onwards and Upwards for our Happy Owners!
