The Gerald Ryan trained colt Dances On Stars has opened favourite for Saturday's 2yo event at Rosehill and the corporate's are keeping the colt very safe at an opening price of $2.40 with $6.50 or longer the balance of the field.
He will contest race 2 at Rosehill, is number 3 drawn barrier 4 and will be ridden by Jimmy Cassidy.
That price could be reasonable considering the Snitzel 2yo hasn't been to the races yet but has stamped himself as a potential handy type with two barrier trials which he has won both in quick time.
The colt by Snitzel is from the Last Tycoon mare Starnet. She was a city class mare winning 2 races in Melbourne at 1000m and 1600m.
The colt is a 1/2 brother 5 winners to date including Group 1 placed Volcanic Star.
Starnet is a 1/2 sister to dual Gr1 winner Miss Margaret (dam of Gr2 winner Ambitious Leader and SP Seafarer) and to the dams of SP Kinda KA, New Spice, etc)
Bred to be outstanding in the first instance, he has a AAA pedigree rating on the Redoute's Choice / Last Tycoon Cross which has already produced 6 Stakes Winners.
Dynamic Syndications sent Adam Watt over to New Zealand earlier this year to review and buy yearlings on behalf of Dynamic that we had presented on our shortlist and were subject to passing detailed veterinary inspections. We had identified and passed a short list of just 6 yearlings to buy after all x-rays inspections had been completed and Adam was able to purchase 2 yearlings, whilst the other 4 were considered over priced and Adam withdrew from the bidding duals.
Dances On Stars was purchased by Adam on behalf of Dynamic Syndications for a bid of $95,000 NZD. The colt was flown back to Sydney where he was educated and then syndicated around Gerald Ryan who trained the sire as a racehorse and has had great success with his progeny.
The mail is strong that he has another potential top liner by the sire.
Dynamic were selling 10% shares at $14,250 and clients of Gerald Ryan and Dynamic purchased 100% of the colt.
Therefore this colt won't race in Dynamic colours but will race in the colours of his majority owner. They are Red, Silver Stars, Red Cap with Silver Star.
We wish the connections all the best with the colt on debut. Owners:
