" GAI "
TRAINER OF 138 GROUP 1 WINS
On 1st August 2016, GAI WATERHOUSE restructured
her business model and brought in ADRIAN BOTT as her Co-Trainer.
Adrian Bott - Co Trainer with GAI since 1/8/16
This freed up a lot of time for GAI to concentrate more on the stables horses and Adrian progressed from Foreman to Co-Trainer assuming many of the daily roles that soaked up GAI's time.
The stable has thrived off the back of this new workload structure.

GAI is warmly welcomed as a Vital Member
of the DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS Racing Team.
Alan Jones, Sydney’s influential broadcaster, paid Gai the ultimate accolade recently when he said:
"She's it. She's racing, the allure, the glamour, the public face of racing."
To accurately describe the Hall Of Fame - Champion Trainer & Australia’s First Lady of Racing by definition:
“Positive in attitude and full of energy and new ideas.”
“Characterised by energy or effective action"
"Vigorously active; energetic.”
THAT'S DYNAMIC & THAT'S GAI !
Therefore it’s a natural evolution that Gai Waterhouse (a household name, Champion Trainer and Australian icon), would create a "strategic alliance" with Dynamic Syndications, Australia’s highest profile and most successful syndication company.
Dean Watt, Managing Director of Dynamic Syndications said:
“For many years I felt Gai had been the missing jewel in our crown of Australia’s Leading Trainers”
But now - that’s all changed !
We announced on 30 December 2014 that starting in January 2015, we would be working in conjunction with Australia’s First Lady of Racing.
DYNAMIC were appointed as the PRIMARY SYNDICATOR to GAI WATERHOUSE RACING
We have commenced an exciting and mutually rewarding, symbiotic relationship to allow significant expansion of the Dynamic Syndications business model through the Gai Waterhouse Racing Stables, allowing us to deliver a higher number of outstanding racing opportunities to our large and ever growing owners base.
At the Sales, Team Dynamic worked in conjunction with Gai, selecting only the highest quality yearlings that we now proudly offer to our clients, to be trained exclusively from Gai's historic Tulloch Lodge.
It’s a wonderful opportunity for

About GAI
Australia’s First Lady of Racing
Gai is a phenomenon, an Australian icon, and her achievements are a testimony to what vision, planning, hard work, energy and dedication can produce.
Gai Waterhouse is the daughter of Valerie and Tommy J. Smith MBE, Australia’s All Time Champion Racehorse Trainer based at Randwick.
Gai was educated at Kincoppal-Rose Bay, then completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of New South Wales in 1975. In the early years, Gai made a career for herself as a model and actress, which included appearing in the Australian drama The Young Doctors before moving to England and appearing in the Doctor Who story - The Invasion of Time.
Gai then returned to Australia where her passion for racing took over and served an apprenticeship under her father for fifteen years before getting her own trainer's licence issued by the Australian Jockey Club (AJC) in January 1992.
Her first winner was the horse Gifted Poet in March 1992, and her first Group One winner was Te Akau Nick in the Metropolitan Handicap in October that year. After her father, T. J. Smith became ill, he passed on the Tulloch Lodge stable to her in the 1994–95 season.
Waterhouse first achieved fame in Australia when Nothin' Leica Dane came into the Melbourne Cup in 1995 after winning the Victoria Derby three days earlier. The three-year-old colt ran second in the Melbourne Cup, a race which no three-year old had won since Skipton in 1941.
During the 1996–97 season, she had ten Group One wins and won her first Sydney premiership.
In 2001, Waterhouse trained the first, second, and third place-getters in the Golden Slipper and added the first of three successive Sydney training premierships, culminating with 156 wins in 2002/03, equalling her father's Sydney training record.
In the 2004–05 racing season, Waterhouse had eleven Group One wins and added a fifth Sydney training premiership.
As of 2015, the Waterhouse stable at Tulloch Lodge had won 134 Group One races.
Waterhouse's other successful horses include Golden Slipper winners Dance Hero, Ha Ha and Sebring. Prolific Group One winners Grand Armee, Juggler, and All Our Mob as well as two time Epsom Handicap winner Desert War.
Waterhouse won the 2010 BMW Caulfield Cup with Descarado.
On 5 November 2013, Waterhouse won her first Melbourne Cup with Fiorente

IT'S EAST TO GET INVOLVED
Every year, Gai and her selection team purchase yearlings at the major sales on behalf of existing owners and those clients experiencing ownership for the first time.
Getting involved with Gai is easy.
Through Dynamic Syndications there are various syndicate options.
Racing your own 'Dynamic Champion’ with Gai doesn’t cost a fortune.
"We've had enormous success with reasonably-priced yearlings," Gai declares.
An average price for a 5% Share is around $9,500 and all the ongoing costs average only $8.20 per day.
Your Name as an OWNER will appear in the Racebook and you will receive Full Owners Privileges.
"Syndicates are vital because owners are the foundation of racing."
"The more people we have involved the more vibrant the industry will be," Gai rightly claims.
"Personally, I find training for a syndicate particularly rewarding because all concerned get so much enjoyment from an inherently affordable investment."
Just some of the sale ring bargains trained by Gai include: (prizemoney - cost price)
Bentley Biscuit ($1,446,725 - $120,000)
Aqua A'more ($1,936,850 - $350,000)
Assertive Lad ($3.3 million - $110,000)

Kingsgate ($573,000 - $45,000)
Stoway ($551,000 - $55,000)
Fiery Venture ($540,000 - $110,000)

AFFORDABLE RACING
Despite Gai's position of leadership, her current daily rate for training is well below that recommended by the Australian Trainers' Association and below that of several of her lesser performed peers.
Gai explains: "We are results driven. We receive a percentage of prizemoney, as all trainers do and we're happy to rely on our hard work and results to keep our training fees affordable reasonable".
Owners are invoiced monthly in accordance with the percentage of the horse each owns. The itemised statement will include all expenses incurred except transportation and veterinary which are billed direct.
As a budgeted figure - Owners with a 5% share in a horse with Dynamic Syndications trained by GAI should budget an average of $8.20 per day (approximately $250 per month) over 12 months to cover all the ongoing costs.
COME AND SEE YOUR HORSE
Every Sunday, from 11 a.m. until mid-day, the stables are open for owners to inspect their horse and discuss its progress with Gai and her key staff. Stay behind for refreshments in the beautifully-appointed T J Smith Room, to celebrate victories and to meet fellow owners. Viewing can be arranged outside this time by appointment.
WORRY-FREE OWNERSHIP
For all Dynamic Syndications horse, our team works closely in conjunction with Gai. Between us we manages the horses' careers at every stage, from purchase in the sale ring and all the necessary paperwork, spelling and pre-training, right through to on-sale or retirement.
Adam Watt regularly attends trackwork with GAI and her team, to get the latest "hands-on" information flow from GAI for the Owners.
These reports are regularly recorded and forwarded to Owners immediately to give ALL our Owners the closest opportunity to be updated about their horse.
Every Tuesday morning Adam & Gai
do a short video show "A DAY WITH GAI" where owners in Gai's stables
get the latest update on Dynamic horses in the stable and the other
trackwork stars of the morning Gai is heading towards upcoming races.
Owners receive as a minimum a weekly audio report and then as the horse progresses through too racing, these updates increase to several updates a week and Owners also receive telephone contact pre-race. You'll never miss out - It's worry-free ownership.
