A big CONGRATULATIONS goes to the Team of Loyal DYNAMIC Owners for their 5th WIN with their honest galloper MESTALLA who scored with authority in Race 2 on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday. MESTALLA was turned out in magnificent order and went to the post a 5/4 favourite. Trained to perfection by CHRIS MUNCE and rated perfectly by Jeff Lloyd, MESTALLA (57.5kg) won by 0.8 length x 2.8 lengths.

She's a valuable breeding prospect being a Grand-daughter of the $5 million mare MILANOVA (by Danehill). Today’s win was very pleasing. At her 6th start she has broken through and now has a record of 6 starts: 1 win, 2 seconds, 1 third having been placed twice in town.

Racing NSW and the Australian Turf Club have announced that as of 1 October 2016, the minimum prizemoney for Saturday metropolitan races in Sydney will increase to $100,000 per race. This increase headlines several prizemoney initiatives totaling almost $53 million annually which has been announced this calendar year.

Having given with one hand, Racing NSW announced that they would take back with the other by "clipping the ticket" of owners prizemoney, as they introduce a 1% industry levy (tax) which they will deduct from owners prizemoney to establish a much needed Horse Welfare Programme. This levy will put aside over $2 million per annum for a horse welfare programs.
