Massive PRIZEMONEY Increases have NSW LEADING the WORLD for Owners Returns

NEVER has there been a better time to invest in Thoroughbred Racehorses than NOW in NSW. Racing NSW and the Australian Turf Club have announced that as of 1 October 2016, the minimum prizemoney for Saturday metropolitan races in Sydney will increase to $100,000 per race. This increase headlines several prizemoney initiatives totaling almost $53 million annually which has been announced this calendar year.

NSW Racehorse Owners to fund New Horse Welfare Programme through Prizemoney Levy

Having given with one hand, Racing NSW announced that they would take back with the other by "clipping the ticket" of owners prizemoney, as they introduce a 1% industry levy (tax) which they will deduct from owners prizemoney to establish a much needed Horse Welfare Programme. This levy will put aside over $2 million per annum for a horse welfare programs.

ASIC Announce Key Changes to Racehorse Syndication Effective January 1 2017

Today ASIC published a Media Release number 16-282 to announce From 1st January 2017 ASIC are: (1) Raising the investment limit for a horse racing syndicate from $250,000 to $500,000; (2) Increasing the maximum number of members for a horse racing syndicate from 20 to 50 along with other changes.
