Fastnet Rock Colt CORNICHE Wins Gr3 Gold Coast Guineas

CORNICHE by Fastnet Rock is a homebred colt for Godolphin, whose previous win was last season when defeating Golden Slipper winner Shinzo in the Gr2 ATC Skyline Stakes. He was well in commission on Saturday in the in the Gr3 Gold Coast Guineas (1200m) and scored decisively under an expert ride from James McDonald. Corniche’s sire Fastnet Rock has recently been retired from stud duty at Coolmore and is about to be crowned Australia’s Champion Broodmare Sire for the first time this season.
