On Saturday Champion Australian Sire ENCOSTA DE LAGO took his tally to 21 Gr1 Winners and 97 Stakes Winners overall. ENCOSTA DE LAGO has had a huge start to the new racing season with 60 winners including 4 Stakes Winners: COSTA VIVA, OUR SMOKIN’ JOEY, RIVA DE LAGO and MISS ROSE DE LAGO and also 17 Stakes Placed horses.

The Darren Smith trained IDLE CHAT made it a simple exercise gallop but still recorded an easy 3 length victory at Newcastle over 900m on Sunday.
